Which of these 3 fights will have more substance than hype?
I love these undefeated fighters squaring off to determine the supremacy and usually these fights are hyped up until one remembers the fight dates better than their B-day so which of these 3 fights will meet or surpass the hype.
Mayweather-Hatton
Calzaghe-Kessler
Taylor-Pavlik

We already know Hatton Mayweather will be all hype with very little substance.
Taylor/Pavlik is going to be a war so is Cotto/Mosley.
I don't know about Calzaghe/Kessler but I bet it will be better than Hatton/Mayweather.
Re: Which of these 3 fights will have more substance than hype?
Taylor/Pavlik will be the biggest war of the 3. Calzaghe and Mayweather are too good defensively to get too beaten up even in a losing effort. Taylor/Pavlik is the only one I'm reasonably comfortable in predicting a KO.

I wouldn't call Calzaghe a good defensive fighter the reason why he got decked twice was because of his lack of defence especially when Salem knocked him down he had no defence and was swinging punches from all angles not thinking about defence im expecting a good fight.
Cotto vs Mosley will be the best fight out of the 3 there styles just seem to blend so well.
Hatton vs Mayweather imo will be similar to Chavez vs Mayweather and that was action packed fight.
Re: Which of these 3 fights will have more substance than hype?
He didn't have Cotto/Mosley as one of the options, but I might have voted for that. I would submit that Calzaghe's offense IS his defense. His shots are constantly coming, making it difficult for his opponents to get off like they'd like.

Ah my bad misread it anyway as for Pavlik vs Taylor.
I think Taylor will be counter punching and Pavlik will be putting the pressure on and i think it will be good action packed fight with Pavlik winning by ko or tko.

Ah the reason why Cotto Mosley was not listed is because he was talking about all around undefeated fighters but Cotto Mosley should get an honorable mention at least half of one because Cotto is still undefeated but if you ask Frozen Solid he will argue that Cotto would have lost had he not hit Judah in the vag1na. Just ask Frozen Solid about Castillo/Mayweather 1 and hopefully he will shut his trap.
Calzaghe does not have a great defense as ICB mentioned. CalZlappy likes to rush you and hug and grab you anyway he can. He is not the cleanest fighter in the game but he does what he has to do to win not to mention he is a Southy which makes for some sloppy fights anyway.

I'll bet you 20 CCs that Cotto Mosley is better than all three. But I see we are talking about fights between two undefeated fighters....
If thats the case than I'll take Taylor Pavlik

Please read my post after that one.
Re: Which of these 3 fights will have more substance than hype?
Calzaghe Vs Kessler has the most substance...Joe only knows how to fight with volume punching and Kessler knows he will need a KO to win...Even if he knocks Calzage down twice every round and limits his connect % to 1% he will have to be trying for the KO so...
It will be a slap fight Vs a guy trying to take his head off
Re: Which of these 3 fights will have more substance than hype?
JC Kessler is going to be awesome.
Cotto Mosley is going to be the best fight overall, a war.
Pasvlik Taylor will be exciting when JT gets caught by Pavlik. It could be boring at times.
Mayweather Hatton will be the least exciting in terms of action but there should be moments of drama and I envisage it being close on the cards, simply due to their styles.

Just ask Frozen Solid about Castillo/Mayweather 1 and hopefully he will shut his trap.
Mayweather won a very close fight. I actually had Castillo by 1 round while trying my hardest to give the close rounds to JLC in order to score it with an unbiased eye. So Mayweather getting a UD wasn't all that controversial to those who actually follow boxing and know what they're talking about. The landslide scoring, however, was total BS.
The judges tried to make up for it in the rematch though (there was a rematch in case you forgot ;)) by giving Castillo rounds that he clearly did not deserve. But Mayweather dominated him so bad, that even the biggest hater (Danny_G) couldn't give the fight to Castillo.
On a side note..................
Zab Judah hit Cotto with more clean shots in the first 4 rounds of their fight than Mayweather's been hit with in his entire career. The Cotto lovers should be thanking God that he threw all of his illegal low blows, because if he didn't, all of his "fans," would have had to jump to a different bandwagon (it's no secret that 90% of Cotto fans were die hard Margarito "fans" until they actually saw him fight) because Cotto was well on his way to getting knocked out real bad.
Re: Which of these 3 fights will have more substance than hype?
Imo the fight that will be the best out of all of them isn't even on the list and is getting virtually no hype at all.
Mormeck vs Haye will be the best fight of the lot 8)

I remember Zab beating up PBF in the early rounds and he even knocked Mayweather down.
Judah never knocked Cotto down. Cotto's low blows came way after Cotto was hurt and were not an issue. The first low blow was was not even that severe to make matters worse for Judah it was such a delayed reaction that we all knew he was faking it. What was Judah thinking? He wasn't. I believe the second low blow just might have been intentional so Judah would stop crying wolf. Judah hit Cotto with some low blows and Cotto just kept fighting. Cotto would have beat Judah regardless. Judah hit Cotto a lot of times with that sneaky upper cut and he could not knock Cotto down or out. Did I mention Floyd getting knocked down by Judah? lol
I don't know nothing about the Margarito fans jumping on the Cotto express. It is still no secret that Floyd was terrified of Tony and no matter how many times Tony loses, Floyd will always wet himself when it comes to Antonio Margarito. The Youtube videos show how much fear Tony put into PBF's heart. Reminds me of the major fear Sugar Ray Leonard had of Roberto 'Manos De Piedra' Duran.
