Hatton Mayweather undefeated tag - is 81 and 0 a record ?
This has probably been answered already or covered in the build up but with their records of 43 and 38 without loss is this 81-0 a record for two undefeated boxers meeting in boxing history ?
I know going back fighters used to have 100+ fights so maybe somewhere deep in history this has been beaten but I can't think of many in recent years to match it.
Come to think of it I can't think of many undefeated fighters facing up in recent years ?? - De La Hoya v Trinidad were they both unbeaten ??

Julio Cesar Chavez 83-0 vs Marty Jakubowski 37-0 combined together 120-0.
Re: Hatton Mayweather undefeated tag - is 81 and 0 a record ?
and just realised that if it is then it will never be a record anyway as Calzaghe v Kessler will have set the new record the month before ! ;)

Does Chavez record really count though seeing as his first 70 or so fights were against Mexican feather duster sellers and shoe shiners?

Yeah, but over 70 fights one of them would have got lucky ....... 70-0 is impressive by any standards.
I could fight my granny 70 times and she may land a haymaker, or cut me with a butt at least once. She's one tough granmofo ;D
