Stop Writing Off Antonio Margarito
Ok i am a Mayweather fan and you might be bit shocked at me defending Margarito but im bit tired of some of these comments i've been seeing he lost a decision to PW ok fair enough but he wasn't exposed and he doesn't suck or ect PW is freak of nature and throws the most punches i've ever seen from Welterweight and is very talented and Margarito gave PW hell and came on in later rounds Margarito even in his loss to Santos where Santos headbutted Margarito and they had to go to the scorecards it was close and could of gone either way i like Margarito's style he is exciting he has flaws which makes him beatable which makes it even more interesting he has iron chin and most importantly which brings excitement to most boxing matches great power now all i ask people is stop writing off Margarito because he lost a ud to Williams in which he gave great account of himself don't kick a man when he is done otherwise you could find when you turn around he gets up and gives you a kicking.

Margarito's weakness is he doesn't know how to fight inside against taller long limbed fighters.
I still believe he'll defeat PBF convincingly with all his power and aggressiveness.

Doesn't get any clearer and to the point than that!! ;) He does have an iron chin, and I think uses that as his defense,lol. PW hit him a zillion times and he looked the same after the fight. I might be going out on a limb here, but he reminds me of Pavlik in style, and after seeing Pav take some hella' shots from Miranda, I see them being alot the same in how they fight and their approach. Just wearing people down and overpowering them, and hoping their chins will last. Doesn't always work though. I'd CC you again but I can't ;D

I only use that as an example for how Hatton vs Mayweather will go because people always mention the first Castillo fight but never mention the Chavez fight style wise Chavez is very similar to Hatton and also in height there near enough the same height if people say Hatton will win then sorry i will bring that fight up everytime because its good arguement anyway i don't want to turn this thread into another debate about Hatton vs Mayweather so im saying no more on it.

Antonio Margaritto is still a player in the Welterweight sweepstakes and he did KTFO of Kermit Cintron.
To me Paul Williams was a worthy winner against Margarito and both are Worldclass.

Exactly, and who's taller than Williams at welterweight theses days? Cintron comes close, and look what Tony did to him (though today's Cintron is much better). Not only that, Cintron has the most KO power at welterweight and Tony walked through him like he was walking on water yes, lame attempt at humor). Anybody shorter and less stronger than Tony is in for a long night and must fight the perfect fight to beat him.

Many of those hating on Margarito were doing so before PW...
I think it's always difficult when your used to always having the advantage with certain physical attributes, and you run into someone who has the advantage with those same attributes. In this case Margarito was always used to being the long armed punching machine. Well of course PW is a longer armed punching machine.
To Margarito's credit, he tried to change his style for the unusual situation and was almost successful. It just took him a couple too many rounds to get a handle on things. I bet his chances of winning would have been pretty good in a 15 rounder against PW, and if they had a rematch I would also think he would fair better than he did.
It's possible that the loss may even help his career, as maybe the risk side of his risk/reward ratio may seem to be lessened; while actually he's just as dangerous with those physical advantages he has against almost any other WW.
