Paul Williams/Kermit Cintron unification fight likely for Feb. per Dan Rafael

This is provided, of course, that Cintron takes care of business against Feliciano. Excellent bout. I'm a big Williams fan (fellow South Carolinian), but I also think Cintron is very dangerous because he throws powerful straight punches, and Williams style leaves him open to be hit. He has a great chin, but if he gets hit in the right spot the lights may go out anyway. If it goes the distance, though, I like Paul by UD. Hopefully this one comes to fruition.

• As if the welterweight division wasn't already overflowing with significant fights -- Miguel Cotto-Shane Mosley and Floyd Mayweather-Ricky Hatton are scheduled this fall -- another biggie could be on tap for early 2008. Talks are under way to match titleholders Paul Williams and Kermit Cintron in a unification fight in February on HBO, according to both camps and HBO. Cintron (28-1, 26 KOs) must retain his title Nov. 23 against Jesse Feliciano on the Fernando Vargas-Ricardo Mayorga Showtime PPV undercard to make it possible. Williams (33-0, 24 KOs) outpointed Antonio Margarito to win his belt July 14. Cintron's only loss is to Margarito, but he rebounded with four consecutive knockout wins, claimed a vacant title and defended it in explosive fashion on HBO with a second-round destruction of Walter Matthysse on July 14.

This is a great match-up, I'll take Williams by UD, but Cintron is definately gonna put that chin to the test.

I want to see hoe Kermit looks v Feliciano but at the moment,I'm not sure. Kermit has the power to KO anyone at 147 but can he stand PW's punches?

Paul Williams will make Cintron chase him all night and rack up the points, similar to Margarito. Only thing different will be Cintron will get frustrated and start crying :bawling: and quit. He won't test PW's chin cause' he'll never catch him. Beating Felatioano ;D won't do anything but give Kermit an ego boost. He should have been screaming for a rematch with Tony by now.

Yeaj this is a great fight . We are being spoilt with great matches at the moment . I thought this one may not happen but im glad its going ahead . Another great fight to look forward to .

Still undecided though cuz although Paul Williams is class I think Cintron is the real deal and will stand a great chance .
