I'm new to boxing and I wanna get better at it, I wanna be like Mike Zambidis, he isn't a boxer but a kickboxer and he is amazing to watch..
Post some tips and I will share some of mine
I will post some videos and you guys tell me what I could do better
Edit: Here's my Jab,
Please just tell me what I need to do to improve the jab, like form wise and techniques to use, I'm new and never trained at boxing

Re: Does anyone know boxing here? I need help from experts
I started in kickboxing and changed to straight boxing and found that at least the way they teach the two where I am from is very different.
Don't you think it could be a little confusing having a kickboxing mentor for your boxing?
I found footwork, the tempo of the fight and weight distribution all pretty different. Are you a kickboxer looking to improve your boxing or a boxer with a kickboxing idol?

I haven't had a chance to have a look at your vids yet - I'd be one of the less helpful ones here though since I'm competing but not actually a coach - still give it a few days and I'm sure one of the coaches will have some suggestions and if I see anything majorly obvious - like some of the things I struggled with (or am still struggling with) to improve as a boxer with a kickboxing background - I'll let you know :)

With the jab theres no foot movement bad practice. with the hook its all wrong, when youre about to throw it the front foot slides in changing your level turning the back footwhen the shot goes the elbow and front knee should be in line so the power generated from thefront heel drives the fist which is turned out giving good line and direction
Re: Does anyone know boxing here? I need help from experts
here's the best advice...keep your hands up...you can get knocked out when you throw your hook with a faster hook or a counter...
you have to always keep your hands up. when you throw a jab, you need to put your hand right back to its blocking position.

Can you tell me the foot movement I need to throw the jab? Is it like a tippy toe with the back foot in the forward direction? Also Which direction does the front foot need to go when throwing the hook?? is it diagonally ? So the front elbow and front knee to be aligned?
I'll practice what you say and make a new video

Thanks for the advice, sometimes I forgot to keep my hands up, it's a bad habit

Mike is evil he hits them with his toes and legs too. First he stoops so they follow him down and he knows their lead hand follows him down so he hits them with that over hand right bomb as he comes up into the opening useing every muscle from his toes up.
I have the feeling most of the other boxing shots from him are him punishing someone or just a wearing down routine until he can see a kill opening.

#1 Your wearing headgear and bags dont hit back. :)

You keep moving your right hand when you are throwing your left. Your right hand should stay next to your face/chin/jaw. You are leaving your self wide open for counters. Work on keeping you right hand in place
