Big Gaps between posts in threads.

Is it me, or does anyone else feel that they're wasting their lives away when they spend ages scrolling through the vast expanses of nothing some people have included in their post. It is usually for some sort of comedic effect, but can't you just get a monkey with a drum kit to go bedum tish instead?

And secondly, it really annoys me when people quote the whole thing, including the gap, so not only am I looking through one gap, but someone else is making me look through it again. I've been online for 20 days, 12 hours and 22 minutes now, and I'm convinced that I must have spent at least an hour of that scrolling through these pissing gaps in posts. Any opinions?

Honestly I have no clue why people do this shiet. It is the most g@y thing I have seen anyone do on a forum.

Definitely agree with you Rhun. I think the occasional long gap for a comedic effect is ok, as sometimes you want to hide a punchline, but I can't understand why people quote the whole thing back.

What really annoys me is when you have like an 800 meter long page because there are dozens of replies and EVERYBODY just quotes everybody else.

A little commonsense and selective pruning would go a long way to solving that problem.
