Showtime promoting Tarver's next fight as for WORLD light heavy TITLE

Dan Rafael's lasted blog on ESPN.COM/BOXING, reports that Showtime will promote the Tarver Green Fight as for the World Light-Heavyweight Championship. Because Tarver was awarded the vacant IBO title.

Does Showtimes acknowledgement of the IBO title as legit threaten to now give us 5 recognized sanctioning bodys?

Showtime should be ashamed of themselves.

Nah they are just trying to make the fight bigger than it is. I don't think anyone is ready for ANOTHER major sanctioning body (as far as recognition goes)

Showtime seems a little desperate with the loss of Joe C. and others to HBO, so whatever they can do for their business I understand. But- Tarver? What a joke. Tarver IS a joke. As for the belt, IMO, it doesn't exist.

When this fight happens, and the referee pulls both boxers together, I'd love it if when the referee asks "do you have any questions?" for Danny Green to say..."Yeah I got a question...you got any excuses tonight Antonio? Been poisoned before the fight again Antonio?"

Forget the "title" I think Green has more than just a chance. Tarver was poisoned with potent right hands down the middle Lol.
That would be funny as hell though

Tarver can say that all he wants, but he knows that Hopkins had his number as soon as the ink dried on the contract. When a man makes you flinch like Hopkins made Tarver you are OWNED.

Tarver is not the champion. IBO isnt a real belt.
Hopkins owned him.
Tarver has dont more talking than fighting throughout his career thats why he has only 20 odd fights.

By the 2nd Round vs.Hopkins He was owned outright.

This will be lucky to go a couple of rounds. Danny Green will knock him out easily. You people dont give Danny much credit. Wait and see, this is the last month of Tarvers boxing career.... unless he can worm his way out again and try set a fight up against George Blades!!! ::** ;D

I ain't no Tarver fan. But I think he beats Green without much problems. Green is seriously overrated. I'm trying to think of a name opponent he's ever beaten. Mundine had his way with him. Tarver will too.
