How good is this guy>? I have yet to see him fight or if I have,I can't remember,but he's undefeated and Paulo Filho said he was awesome. Rickson said he had the tools to beat Fedor too. So is this guy the real deal?

We will never know. While Rickson's contemporaries were competing in Pancrase he wasn't. His only documented MMA experience was against less than stellar competition. It is probably safe to say that he is one of the greatest submission grapplers ever but he was never really tested in MMA and his claim to be undefeated in over 400 fights is a bit absurd. My guess is that had he been serious about cross training and fought some serious talent then he'd be considered a legit ATG b/c he was just as good as Royce on the ground but with some semblance of a standup game.
Rickson was and still is a fantastic if not the best BJJ exponent, better than Royce. However, this whole '400' fight thing is ridiculous. He has never fought top MMA competition and would get eaten alive by any top 5 middleweight (Rickson fought around 185).
To say he has the tools to fight fedor is laughable to say the least. MMA has moved on since the days of Rickson vs Zulu
