The NBA is getting ready to start up
Can it get any more boring?
I hate Kobe Bryant, I hate selfish bastards who celebrate after making freakin lay ups but can't hit a free throw to save their lives. And I just can't take the 10 month playoff format.
The NBA should have stopped functioning after the USA failed to win a gold medal (numerous times) with NBA "All-Stars" filling their roster.
......thank God for boxing.........and booze.

I can't wait for the season to start.
Do find it baffling how they failed to win gold though....
Re: The NBA is getting ready to start up
I hate the NBA it's fucking ridiculous....no defense, no set plays, no TEAM EFFORT.....it's no different than the fucking AND ONE bull crap.
FUNDAMENTALS PEOPLE!!!!!! Fundamentals and team work win games and the only team that plays like that are the Spurs and they do so in a boring manner.
The 1990's and 1980's NBA were filled with great teams it was fun to watch but those days are gone

yeh i agree i started following the spurs since they drafted duncan about 10 years ago.....the basketball they play now is so boring. Tony Parker is exciting ish. Suppose a team of veterans aren't forced to be that exciting.
very few teams seem have a game plan other than give the ball to the star player.....lakers for example.
stil love it tho...
Re: The NBA is getting ready to start up
College ball is all I watch, UNC all the way this year!

there's a channel here in the UK showing college ball....never really bother about it til it gets close to themarch madness or the draft then i start paying attention.
Re: The NBA is getting ready to start up
The phoenix suns are pretty dam exciting and they play well as a team, although I heard that one of em is bitching about something or other...I think its shawn marion wanting out, even though once nash isn't around to pass him the ball he won't be half as good cause he's not the type to create his own plays really.

Lyle,
It sounds like the NBA and the EPL have much in common. Overpaid arrogant whiners following their agents orders rather than their coach's. :(
When I first moved to the US I was a Knicks fan, partly cos I figured New York was closest to London (literally and demographically) and also because I like Patrick Ewing. Then I switched to Miami as I was based out there and especially after that got that Irish chap O'Neal.
Now I need a new team. I think I might follow the Sacramento Kings this year, seeing as they're based in the Cali Capital.
Can anyone give me the lowdown on Sactown?
Re: The NBA is getting ready to start up
Sac 4 or 5 years ago was a good contender team since then they've pretty much strugled to make the playoffs, basically the team fell apart cause they were a bunch of prima donas who each wanted to be the star of the team...

Fucking Marvellous ;D
Sounds like my life story :o 8)
Re: The NBA is getting ready to start up
can anybody really get excited about it this early in the year.
The playoffs are interesting, except when you have a final with Cleveland versus the Spurs, but its just too early to start paying attention for me.
Re: The NBA is getting ready to start up
Ouma yeah it's hard to get excited this early in the year but depending on what teams are playing its possible, I just like to see some good basketball, and really never got into college hoops since I never saw them as a kid but instead watched nba since I was little.

I f'n love watching college ball.. Your lucky man you should check it out a few times...
Back in 80's & 90's when NBA was huge all over the world, here in OZ we used to get a lot of the college games as well and I loved watching them.... Now basketball is completely out over here and it's not even acknowledged that the NBA even exists anymore...
We get some NBA on pay tv, but no college ball anywhere... I'd watch it again for sure if it was televised again...
Re: The NBA is getting ready to start up
Love the NBA. Great to have the games starting up.
Celtics are my home team. Also watch a ton of Nuggets games, as Iverson and Carmelo are my two favorite players.
Watch a lot of Laker games too, Kobe is the most electrifying scorer on the planet.
