I am begining to think Calzaghe is going to win.
After watching a few of both of their fights, I have found a new respect for Joe Calzaghe... I still dont' think he is blindingly fast, but he is a nightmare to fight, especially because the judging will go his way if its close in his backyard. Joe is a rough inside fighter, hard to hit, fast, and just plain frustrating to fight. I think a guy like Sakio Bika gave him a hard time because Bika made it a rough fight also. When Bernard fought guys a lot worse than Trinidad or Tarver he was given a harder fight because these guys didn't box they fought. I see Kessler as boxer if Calzaghe gets rough I see Kessler getting frustrated instead of resorting to being rough himself, but he won't unravel like Lacy, but he still will not look very good against Calzaghe because nobody looks good against a guy like Calzaghe. After this fight I would like to see Calzaghe fight Bernard because IMO they are the same type of fighter in a lot of ways yet they are different in certain ways.

What is everybody elses' opinion?
Re: I am begining to think Calzaghe is going to win.
I agree with a lot of your post mate. Kessler may have a few ideas of how to respond to Joe's tactics but IMO they wont work.
Kessler responding to what Joe is doing wont win him the fight (if that makes sense?)
Kessler needs to be the absolute boss and initiate everything. Even if it means doing something un-natural to him like excessive holding (in the same way Hopkins did against Winky).
Come to think of it, if the fight remains clean (not many breaks) at close quarters, i can see Kessler loosing pretty widely. (Thats a pretty 'out there' assumption, but im on one tonight ;) )
Re: I am begining to think Calzaghe is going to win.
To be perfectly honest, I don't think Kessler has anything better than a punchers chance. Calzaghes hands and combos are just way too fast and he's just way too active. Now if JoeCal comes in and poses with Kessler, then he's gonna have big problems. But if he fights how he has in every other fight, he'll be way too fast and active for Kessler and win a lopsided UD.
