Very impressive show from Joe. Got nothing to say about him now, and he showed why he's the champ. Kessler got frustrated and will learn a ton from this fight. He abandoned his jab and sat back too much, but it seems Joe confused him. Great fight though, so I hope the Kessler haters will give him some props. He'll be back better after this, and sometimes you have to lose to know how to win. Very good fight Joe.
this thread pissed me off, you spoiled it for everyone who sees this title. you shouldn't have, its such a dead give a way.
i thought kess would win but hey, my hats off to calzaghe. joe is a true champion and he has my ut-most respect.

Fantastic fight and a great effort by both fighters. Kessler is a very good fighter and was always gangerous. Both fighters landed and took hardshots. Calzaghe's handspeed and agility was the difference between the two. The longer the fight went the more Calzaghe took control.

I have to also give Calzaghe his props. Although he took his time and boy did he take his time..I think me and everyone else can finally be sold that he is the true Super Middleweight champion and the best in that division. Wish he would have stepped up sooner but better late than never. Just some things I learned from watching that fight though..
*Kessler was too hesitant when he had Calzaghe hurt..Calzaghe would be covering up and Kessler would just let him off the hook by not throwing anything!!
*Kessler would come into range without throwing...I was just shouting at the TV for him to just PULL THE TRIGGER! It would have made the difference in this fight
*Calzaghe for 35 years old is in fantastic condition..amazing fitness.
*Kessler almost seemed weight drained and tired..possibly why he wasn't throwing so much..I know he had to literally weigh himself naked to make weight
*Jeff Lacy most certainly was over rated and over hyped...this fight proved it and even JC said he was one dimensional in the build up to this fight.
*What a humble and fantastic guy Mikkel Kessler is..he made no excuses and just admitted to losing fair an square. What a great guy and a great champion. Great fight!
*Calzaghe is what he said he was..after all this time I will give him his props..still not a fan because of all the time wasting and talking but in his condition he still seems like he could go a few more years!
