Theres nothing you can do BUT respect Calzaghe after tonight.
After watching Calzaghe give Kess a boxing lesson theirs nothing I can do but respect him.
Hes def. earned it and needs to be respected for that.
At one point he did everything I said he wouldn't do to Kess.
This fight has def. made think and view what would have been if he and RJJ would have met.
Congrats to Joe and his fans.
Peace,

It was a great fight Kessler did well but Calzaghe evolved at least two levels before the end of rd 12 it just makes me wander, where is the ceiling for Calzaghe?

Great performance from Calzaghe. Kessler is a good fighter. But I expected more from him. He needed to let his hands go more. But Calzaghe wouldn't let him. Calzaghe-Hopkins needs to happen

Are you giving Calzlappy some due respect?
Am I reading this right? Or are my eyes playing tricks on me?
:)

Absolutely. One could easily argue that he is not just the best Super Middleweight in the world but the best fighter. He does things in the ring that cant be taught and ive seen no other fighters do. B-Hop would be a fight that Joe could win because he does similar things to Hop but more of it. They both lean in with their heads at times and I think it would be an ugly fight....I have a ton of respect for Kessler too. He really fought the best he could and made no excuses. He is the second best in the division by far and will be number one after Calzaghe leaves the division.

I didn't expect that. Kessler fought at the standard I expected him to fight but there was a the sort of difference between the fighters that you see when you watch a top of the league football club take on middle of the table opposition; much more guile and savvy. Joe's superior ring-craft was evident. :)
