Its time to talk about Cotto-Mosley now
Kessler-Calzaghe was a great fight with a great fighter emerging victorious, while the other still has plenty of potential to one day attain a great status. Now it is time for two other great fighters to step into the ring. Mosley has incredible speed, but he is 36. Cotto is a bull, but his chin might be a little too much like a china shop. I believe this fight has more of a contrast of styles, but it also has the potential, and probably to be less calculated, and more of a all out war. Personally I can't see Mosley losing this because of his intangibles along with his skills, but how do you guys see the fight going down, and why?

Isee this fight going 1 or 2 ways
1. Mosley bring his speed to the table and drops Cotto in each of the first 3 rounds and stops him inside 6.
or
2. Cotto lands his bombs early and overpowers Shane inside 8 , i really dont think it can go the distance.
but it is a more appealing match than Kessler v Calzaghe for me :)

Anything could happen in this fight.
I feel that Cotto's previous chin problems were more of a problem with the weight rather than his actual chin. Many great fighters have been dropped, or stopped, at lighter weights and gathered more sturdy whiskers as they moved North.
How much does Mosley have left. Plenty judging by his most recent fights.
I think that Shane will start off great, shading the rounds in a high tempo battle. But by the 8th Cotto's youth and accurate punching will be taking a toll. Whether Shane can hold on down the stretch we'll see but I'm going with a close points win for Miguel, with him handing Shane a battering over the last 3rd of the fight.

I like Cotto but al e has in this fight to offset Mosley is Power....Shane has been here to long and has fought to many of the elite for Cotto to even be considered on his level as far as all around skill goes.....I also am curious on how Cotto does in the last stretch of the bout.......
I am another one that questions Cottos chin....With the speed difference how many shots can he absorb from Shane before it takes the starch out of him?....
It will be a good fight...I like both but am rooting for Shane...no matter the outcome as long as the fight is clean I will not be disappointed to much...
Kind of a catch 22 you don't want to see either lose but there can only be one winner

Im only messing I actually really like Cotto both as a fighter and as a person, if he were fighting anyone else I would be rooting for him but Sugar Shane has been my fav fighter for years so im well behind him on this one. Like Daxx said noone really wants to see either of them lose, I felt the same way about the Calzaghe/Kessler fight but being British I had to back Calzaghe.

This is pretty much the way I see it two. I question Mosley's willingness to take punishment in order to seal the victory. As his legs begin to tire and his defense starts to laps in those late rounds just when Cotto starts to poor it on, will Mosley be ready and willing to take a beating in the championship rounds as he is reaching the light of victory at the end of the tunnel. He has done it before, but can he do it again at this stage in his career. I'm not convinced he can. Lets see if he prooves me wrong next Saturday.
If Mosley does not get Cotto's utmost respect by the 5th round, Cotto's gonna run right over him.

Is this the most split fight this year? People change their minds ever minute,which is great.50-50 fights are what makes this sport so great and has fans bantering and excited. Anyway,I'm going with my boy Cotto. I think he'll get wobbled,possibly droopped early but will come on late,come on strong. I think you'll be surprised by his deceptively fasst handspeed. Whilst I agree that both are superb ambassadors for the sports,I only want to see one outcome,and that's a Cotto victory.

I think it is hard to pick a winner.
but Cotto struggled to ko glass jawed Zab so im not sure if he can over power Shane.
if Cotto's chin has improved with the extra poundage then we r in for a treat :)

Shane will be fine down the stretch... Judah gave Cotto all sorts of problems... If Judah can do that then Shane will KO Cotto.

Have you watched Mosley-DLH 1 or he fights with Vargas? Mosley has foughten bigger punchers than Cotto, and he hasn't been disheartened by power. I think Cotto is a great fighter, and will make this close, but Mosley is so much faster, and he has good power, and a great chin. A good tall boxer gives Mosley hell, but Cotto is not that.
