Paul Williams better not fall to the wayside.
I am worried for him because I just read that if Margarito beats his bos opponent that he will get the winner of Mosley-Cotto, or at least if its Cotto that wins, but what about Paul? He beat Margarito, and I think he would do it if they fought again. Paul is a great talent, and I think he is getting bs'ed. This is reminding me a lot of Zab Judah and Don King, Margarito had his chance, and he didn't win, he should have more repairation done on his career than one fight before he deserves another title shot in this division.

Yeah, i thought after such a good win that Williams would be active again very quickly. It's strange that we've heard nothing about him since.
Great to see that the Welter division still progressing and making great fights tho..

First of all,Margarito has done ALOT more than Williams at WW and has NOT gotten any real big shots still. Second of all,Williams camp declined the rematch for the moment. Third Williams is unifying with Cintron next year. So I don't really understand your post if I'm honest.
If he's not as active as he should be,that's his problem. Margarito offered the immediate rematch,Clottey offered a fight,they declined both.

Why should he beat Margarito again? There is all risk, but no gain in that. Margarito hasn't done all that much besides beat Cintron IMO. Williams is undefeated, and a better aset to boxing imo. Sometimes you can't be active if your waiting for a specific fight, but if all the real opponents are ducking you its difficult to get a fight that is half decent. As for Clottey, I can't see why he wouldn't fight Clottey, who is another person who would have beaten Margarito had he not broken his hand.

I think that Paul Williams is fighting Kermit Cintron in February 2008 for a mini welterweight title unification. Nobody is pushing Paul by the wayside. Honestly, who in the hell is gonna wanna fight that kid?
If Cotto wins, Arum is gonna keep Cotto as far away as possible from Williams until Cotto brings in a big time money match against either ODLH or PBF. I personally don't wanna to see Williams-Margarito II. Things will play themselves out, Williams will get his time to shine. He just got his title. People forget that there are more important titleholders and contenders in that division at the moment.

You just went around in circles there. Clottey offered the fight,Williams didn't take it. Well Williams is fighting Tony's leftovers in Cintron soo....?I don't see anyone ducking Williams,in fact,since the Margarito fight,Tony,Cintron and Clottey has asked to fight him.

Well I kind of agree with Taeth that Williams shouldn't be forgotten as a potential upcoming fight for the winner this weekend. He's fighting Cintron because someone feels that Cintron is back stronger and a contender in the elite class, which I can't wait to see proved wrong. Paul is staying busy, but should have as much chance for the winner or loser as Tony does, after all PW beat him fair and square. I'd rather see a rematch with Tony/PW as soon as this nonsense with Cintron is finished, but if Pw gets a shot at Cotto then it will make for a great buildup for a rematch with Tony, hopefully. Tony would have gotten Cotto had he beaten PW, or so it was hinted, but he lost and PW should have a chance now, as much as it pains me to say as I'm a huge Margarito fan. Assuming of course PW gets past Cintron. JMO

Just my opinion but Williams wont fall buy the wayside....If they meet again and I Really hope they do,He may fall to the leftside or the rightside...but not the wayside ;D
I always hear the talk of Clotteys little hands caused him to loss.What fighter does not run the risk of hurt hands?Or any thing else for that matter???

You're going around in circles on your own point. There's nothing to debate here. Margarito is teh ONLY elite WW to fight Clottey:Judah,Baldo,Williams,Cintron and Collazo all declined. Clottey has'nt aggressively asked for a rematch either. Margarito has done his part by giving him a title shot. Stop trying to debate just for debating sake ;)
