In my opinion...Cotto was hurt in the late rounds & didn't go toe to toe with Shane in the 12th. He moved & boxed smart...which Shane did in several of the middle rounds...he was staying the fuck outta harms reach...but Cotto does it in the 12th & the growing consensus is that he ran.

That was a good fight & a great performance against on of my generations greatest fighters.

I was actually REALLY going to start a thread on that very matter...but you take it.
As far as do I want to see that fight happen? Hell no. But it's probably an easy fight to make, what with Arum being the pimp of them both.

You know what it happens after EVERY BIG FIGHT!!!!....Kind of like when we were kids doing to old This super hero can beat that super hero thing.....My view is this Wack...If you have two guys in the ring that are great faces of the sport.."Which Shane and Cotto are.....As with Calzaghe and Kessler" ...that go in act like champions fight the good fight...then hey everyone is a winner...sure we all hate to see our favorite lose but it's a sport where people beat the snot out of each other...there can only be one winner....
Hell I am all for even stating "Well he beat so and so tonight but IMO if he faced whats his name he would lose"....I can't understand the not giving credit where credit is due....That annoys me just as much if not more then promoters who make mis matched fights to hype a fighter and pad a record...

Yeah Daxx; look at Pavlik/Miranda-Taylor. People were more interested in talking about what Miranda didn't do or his supposed weight problems than giving Pav credit, though before the fight Pavlik was going to get rolled over by Miranda. Same with Taylor. More interested in saying Taylor could have had him in the second round or he was winning on points by blind judges, instead of talking about Pav getting up and going right back to business and eventually beating the shoes of Taylor. I picked Mosley to win big, he didn't and all glory to Cotto. Get over it.

CC# 150 very well said....Hell I picked both JC and Mosley to win...but I have to admit I am not disappointed in the fact things went the other way...
As for Taylor he abosolutly could of had Pavlik in the second but for some reason did not get it done...IMO the loss may have been the best thing for him...He was getting a bit cockey and lazy in the ring...The loss may have woken him up....IMO Pavlik is not a better fighter then Taylor and if they met 5 times I take Jermain 3 out of 5....Yet that takes nothing away from Pavlik and what he accomplished...
