Javier Castillejo knocked Mariano Natalio Carrera out...in rematch...
Nothing more to say I just switched on the tv and have seen the last rnd...
Very good win for Castillejo... cause Carrera is highly ranked...
But I recorded the fight and will see it later...from what I heard so far exciting fight...
And it was the 6th rnd btw...

Win sets up rubber match with champ Sturm
WBA #3 Javier Castillejo avenged a previous defeat-turned-no contest when he knocked out #2 ranked Mariano Carrera in round six of a WBA eliminator on Tuesday night in Göppingen, Germany. After Castillejo had taken control and scored a knockdown in the fifth round, Carrera went for broke in the sixth much to his detriment as a brutal combination from the veteran Castillejo took him out.

Whoa...I've seen it now and that was a great fight !!!
Both fighters throwing bombs like crazy...rnd 3 and 6 were very exciting...
With Castillejo dominating the first minutes of rnd 3 and then nearly getting ko'ed by a right, left,
right counter-combo and then being chased through the ring by Carrera...
In rnd 6 Castillejo caught Carrera with a monster uppercut, but Carrera launched shortly after that
a furious assault of his own.Castillejo withstood though and caught Carrera again with an uppercut
followed by another 2 uppers finishing Carrera...
Great fight ...Castillejo is some tough SOB...

That was a little cracker.
The old boy started great and finished great.
I thought the third round was going to be a big turning point, instead it was just a momentary blip.
Smoger lost the plot at the finish (what was he waiting for?), luckily it was stopped without turning into a farce.

That's fucken great.... You wan't to know something about 'El Lince' he's Spains most decorated fighter 2-Time WBC Light Middleweight Champion & WBA Middleweight Champion.
And you want to know something I'm willing to put all my money that he beats Sturm again by knockout. 8)

Thanks for the CC and CC#2098 back to you...
So you are betting all your money...? How much can this be...? ;D
Sturm was at ringside and made a thoughtful face watching the fight...
I'm not sure how much Sturm wants to fight Castillejo again, but I'm sure if the fight happens
it will be like the second fight all over again...

Re: Javier Castillejo knocked Mariano Natalio Carrera out...in rematch...
Castillejo should get that rematch now, Sturm has the WBA strap? Castillejo is another one of those guys that solid and gets very little recognition. He's had some good wins and 62-7 is damn good. The fact that hes fighting at championship level at age 39, in the middleweight division says alot. CC for the spoiler.

CC. That's an impressive win. Castillejo has had a renassaince in his late career. I remember seein him get beat by Delahoya years ago and thinking he was finished. Then watchin Vargas drop him, and beat him and knowing that he was finished. But at MW, he's been kickin other European MW's asses! He really is a good boxer, no doubt about it.
