Would anyone here be interested in seeing Froch against Lacy
I mean Froch in my opinion has more to do before he keeps calling out the top guys.
Lacy would look good on his record.
A win for Lacy would put him in the mix again.
I think its a positive fight for either guy but it makes me laugh that Froch doesnt want to fight a beaten Kessler.
Kessler would murder him but he thinks it wouldnt be a step forward
Re: Would anyone here be interested in seeing Froch against Lacy
CC for the thread mate...it does pose an interesting question about where Carl Froch can go if (probably) he can't make a megabucks fight with Joe Calzaghe.
I maintain, as I've said in another thread, that we can't really judge whether Lacy has a big future still in him until we see his comeback fight against Manfredo next month. That bout will give us a solid basis as to whether that shoulder has healed enough for him to still be a force. To confirm that, I think he needs to beat Manfredo in the first half of the fight, with at least a couple of knockdowns on the way.
If he does that, then I think he'll be a good opponent for Froch, who will have a good idea how to beat him having joined the millions of us who saw Calzaghe beat Lacy. And Kessler not a step forward for Froch??? Where's his head at.
Re: Would anyone here be interested in seeing Froch against Lacy
After Calzaghe, Kessler is still the best in the division so this is crazy talk from Froch ::**
Lacy would be a great fight for Froch and that would pretty much put Froch at the forefront for any world title...if he wins. I can see Kess reclaiming the divisions better belts and then Froch would have to change his mond.
Forget Calzaghe Froch, he's on a different level to you! Froch needs to forge his own name on the world scene before that and Lacy and Kess are the ones to give him a name outside of Britain.
Re: Would anyone here be interested in seeing Froch against Lacy
Froch vs Lacy would be an incredible fight but honestly I expect Froch's route to a title shot won't entail that much risk. If/when Calzaghe vacates the belts he held will probably fracture and Froch will get to fight for a vacant belt against a lesser opponent such as Alesandro Berrio or Dennis Inkin.
Lacy is still a big name, even more so if he beats Manfredo next month and Froch won't want to face him until he's already got a belt.
Re: Would anyone here be interested in seeing Froch against Lacy
I'd def be interested in seeing it, but like Rhun, I want to see how much he has left first. Like you said Larry, Lacy would LOOK good on Froch's record if he could beat him, but it depends what Lacy. Kind of like Robin Reid LOOKED good on Lacy's record, though he wasn't the same fighter as the champion the previous decade.
All I want Froch to do is get a genuine LIVE opponent, would like it to be Lacy if gets through Manfredo.
Re: Would anyone here be interested in seeing Froch against Lacy
This one seems to be a dead duck now, as Froch's been signed up for an eliminator with Denis Inkin for the WBC title.
Re: Would anyone here be interested in seeing Froch against Lacy
Yes...once Lacy has a few tuners.
Re: Would anyone here be interested in seeing Froch against Lacy
I wouild like to see what Lacy has left, has he recovered mentally from his beating from Calzaghe, and has his shoulder heald?

I think if he deals with Manfredo which he should, id try and get it on with either Miranda or Bika. Then possibly a title shot with Froch, Irkin, Kessler or Bute.
Re: Would anyone here be interested in seeing Froch against Lacy
still not convinced Froch's that good, his style would suit Lacy because he dosen't
move much and seems pretty easy to hit(granted only seen him twice) Reid in his prime
would have wiped the floor with this guy!
Re: Would anyone here be interested in seeing Froch against Lacy
I don't think Froch is all that he is sloppy fighter he throws sloppy punches and he has sloppy defence he was caught even by an old shot Reid quite a few times Lacy has a punchers chance.
Re: Would anyone here be interested in seeing Froch against Lacy
WBC Orders Carl Froch-Denis Inkin Eliminator
He will be fighting Inkin.
