That is funny. Ricky seems to be a down to earth, fun loving guy who doesn't take himself too seriously. Seems the kind of guy you could just sit down and talk about normal, everyday life with. At least he didn't moon Larry: now that would have been interesting to see the reaction he got from Merchant if he'd pulled that stunt.

Yeah, right. Tell that to someone who's deaf & blind. I remember once I mentioned that uncle Roger used to do the same thing then people didn't say much after that.
Anyway Ricky does it in a way that's funny and not offensive.

Floyd will probably come in wearing one of those tall black hats with the strap under the chin, and a red outfit like the guys who stand outside the palace; he'll do something silly. I don't see Ricky doing anything but coming in with that gameface he puts on and chewing gum as fast as a rabbit chewing a carrot ;D

Roger used to do it as an insult...And was made to pay for it in several bouts.....Floyd did not even have the respect to wear it the right way ::**...If i remember correctly he had it on backwards.....
Difference with him and Ricky as you stated is Ricky does it all in good sport and everyone knows that....I don' think I have ever heard Hatton be disrespectful TBH in all his years as a fighter in the spotlight
