Latest Confirmation On Floyds Hands

on the way home from work I was listening to 1050am (ESPN RADIO) 8:45pm US Eastern Time Zone and they had Leonard Ellerbee on for an interview and the 1st thing Brandon Tierny asked was about the hands, Elerbee stated they were in EXCELLENT shape and Floyd was ready to go.

Tierny also asked if Floyd ever had a humble or moment were he wasnt Cocky,(paraphrasing) Elerbee said Floyd is an entertainer and when he is boasting its just Job related to the sport and we dont see what a good man he is with charitable contributions, community work and just a great family man.

At the end of the interview Tierny asked again for Ellerbee to confirm the status of Floyds hands to clear the air, and Elerbee again said his hands were in EXCELLENT shape.

Contary to popular belief looks like his rumored hand injury wasnt damage control or pre-excuses, like some initially thought

This might just be me, but I think because he is so insecure that he needs to build himself up, and make fun of his opponent to get the confidence. Once the fight has started his fighting style is humble to a degree, and Mayweather always seems humble after his fights.

I think "insecure" is the wrong word for it. I agree he probably uses it to hype himself up and to provide motivation to a degree, but Floyd insecure? Come off it man

I think that sort of professional 'acting and entertainment' to promote something should be left for Wrestling where entertainment is the name of the game.

If Floyd had let his superior (and i mean superior) boxing skills do the 'promoting' and not himself, i'm sure he would be twice as popular as he is now, and twice as rich.. He would have millions and millions in endoresments and fans....

I just think the whole persona he puts on to create interest in his fights just ISN'T needed.... Which is what makes me think that what we see in front of the camera's is largely what he is really like...
He just makes it impossible to look past that attitude... And when it is next to impossible to see a 'professional' need for it, then I can really take it or leave it..

One of the greatest boxers of all time was simply spoilt by one of the least needed 'acted attitudes' of all time...

Floyd is very good at fighting and if he shut his fucking mouth he'd be one of the most popular fighters today.

I think Floyd is insecure....he obviously has Daddy issues and that can really fuck with a person. So perhaps he needs to surround himself in bling and an entourage and constantly talk shit to fill the holes in his personal life.


To really fuck with Floyd all you would have to do is talk about his Daddy...ie "I'm going to whip you like your Daddy should have"....it would really set him off, IMO

But there's a difference between a weak chin and injured hand. One is a physiological flaw and the other is a nagging injury. Since the injury isn't nagging him, I don't see him saying anything about having bad hands if he loses. Plenty of guys have commented about his injury or that injury bothering them whether they won or lost, but no one is going to say, "Hey, my chin's made of glass."

He obviously grew up learning that only ONE thing mattered in life,,, success... So now he thinks he has to surround himself with all these shiney things and show off everything he has to everyone to fill in his insecurities and make himself feel like everyone can love him and respect him now because he made it...

I'm with you Lyle, I bet you could have Mayweather crying in five minutes by telling him even with his millions of dollars his daddy still doesn't love him. ;D

It was a bit silly ::** to see Floyd during the whole ODLH pre-fight hype talking about money and flaunting it to the cameras when ODLH has waaaaaaaaay more money than him, investments, is already a well-known promoter, etc.
