While on the face of it, it does appear as though Pavliks frame can more easily (and productively) accomodate six extra pounds, I feel that Taylors stamina problem in past fights may indeed have been caused by the weight loss.
Should Taylor be able to do in the early rounds against Pavlik for 12 we could be in for an even better fight!
Taylor will get smacked around next fight just like the 1st one. Pav will not be playing silly games and will respect JT's power overhand right a bit more, but will nonetheless walk Taylor down and punch his lights out ;D
Taylor probably isn't looking forward to facing the one guy who put him out, and isn't even fighting for his belt, so I bet we'll see an unfocused Taylor who is wary of Pavlik and tense as usual. He'll come out and go for the kill early on with Pavlik, trying to relive the 2nd round from the 1st fight, then start huffing and puffing and getting pushed around after he realizes Pavlik isn't going anywhere.
Everyone thinks Taylor can come back smarter and better; and seem to forget Pavlik can improve on his faults as well. Pavlik by ko between the 6th and 8th. Then Taylor will say he he should really be a LHW, lol.
Pavlik is going to beat up on JT even worse this time.Absolutely no doubt about that in my mind. JT may have a tough time making the weight but Kelly is one of,if not the biggest 160 pounder in the division.
Well it's a match up which will be essential viewing. I don't believe Pavlik's hunger will at all be affected by becoming Champion and I feel JT may be motivated by the loss.
I honestly feel it may be an even better more competitive fight this time.
pAVLIK ko 8
Taylor's problems have less to do with weight and more to do with NERVES. If he doesn't address this issue then his career will really be cut short. He burned off a ton of nervous energy against Pavlik and got smoked. Not saying that it would have been a lock against Kelly, but he could have acquitted himself better.
I'm not sure what to think really but i bet this fight winds up being much better than the first.
CC. You beat me to it on the nerves part, its why he gasses so badly. Plus he loads up on everything.Quote:
