Then calzaghe says bye bye or move up to LHW,looks like the WBO now have ranked Kessler the number 2 contender (Brahmer remains number one).
So if Brahmer wants the belt it looks like he has to fight kessler,if kessler wants to fight for a belt again right away (and i see no reason why not).
Anyways, if this comes off, there can be only one winner imo.
kessler by ko is the most likely result.

Kessler can get a shot at any of the titles with in 2 fights...he only lost once and was not stopped or made to look like he was unworthy to hold the titles in the first place so....Besides I think most will agree Kessler is the best SMW behind Joe without question.....

Not a bad fight for Kessler i was hoping he would take on Bika. Because that way he would get more exposure but im not disappointed with this match up at all CC for the news.
Sorry, ICB, but I really think that Kessler will be looking to go in with pretty much anyone but Bika in his comeback fight. After all, he wants to look good, and Bika is little more than a very good spoiler, and makes for a dour fight with almost everyone he goes in against. Like he did against Beyer and Calzaghe. I reckon that Kessler v Braemer would be very one-sided, but would get a lot of continental attention and could be held in either Germany or Denmark for a huge audience.
Braemer seems like a good return to the sport for Kessler, and he'll get a world title too if Joe vacates.
Braemer ain't a bad fighter. He might not win, but I think he'll make it competitive
Kessler would beat Jurgen but in all honesty I see this as a low reward, high risk in the sense that Jurgen is unknown beating him IMO would not do much as far as grab attention. It would make much more sense to fight someone like Froch or Bika who can bring media attention and thus bringing IMO a higher rating if he defeats them.

Well, there are parts of the world, where Braehmer is significantly better known than either Froch or Bika. Furthermore I'm willing to bet that Braehmer at least as many fans all in all as either of these fighters. Add to that that Braehmer is highly rated by the alphabet organizations, and it might made sense for Kessler.Quote:

For the record I think that Kessler will take on Mads Larsen next and not Braehmer. I know Palle is against that fight, but it would be a decent return after the loss, and it would be a _huge_ fight in Denmark, especially if they could somehow get a title on the line (even a bogus title might help - the general public doesnt know the WBU from the WBO anyway).
eing how good Kess was against Joe I was looking forward to his next fight but I have to admit I duno much about the Breahmer guy . I want Kess to beat up Lacy tbh . Thats would be a crossroads fight .
Maybe Kess vs Froch or Kess vs Pavlik moving up in weight . These are the kinda guys he should be fighting . Kess is top dog if Joe moves up and he will be the man one day just not yet .

Plus winning the Contender has got him a lot of popularity so fighting Bika IMO would be a smart choice for 2 reasons. 1 Kessler can easily out box Bika, 2 beating Bika will get him right up there amongst top Super Middleweight's again, and it will also give him a lot of press for beating The Contender winner.
