Why Is It That Some Boxers Only Get The Credit They Deserve When They Retire ??

Larry Holmes for example was never appreciated or given the credit he deserves until he retired, can someone explain to me why this is ??

Because he wasn't really captivating or memorable. He just went to the ring and did his job. I think there's something to be said for just going to the ring and doing your job.

Lennox Lewis is the same way.

I believe Trinidad, RJJ, Hopkins, Lewis will be mega icons in about 10 years, but at this time you will still hear people with negative thing's to say about them
