Tito Trinidad vs. Jeff Lacy
Granted that Tito loses against Jones Jr., which I figure he will. Would anybody be willing to watch him fight Jeff Lacy? At this point I think it could be an even fight, depending on how Tito looks against Jones, I may even favor Tito. It'd be a slugfest. Anybody else wanna see this fight?
Re: Tito Trinidad vs. Jeff Lacy
:-X Hell NO.Are we really that desperate for interesting bouts.A re-retired retread and a never was Lacy who looks to be done....IMo.Lacy needs to get a big money fight fast because the next guy with mobility boxing and good chin is going to bust him up,Dont think it's Tito though.
Re: Tito Trinidad vs. Jeff Lacy
Lacy did seemingly turn into a garbage ass fighter after the Calzaghe fight, but I gotta see how Tito looks first before I pass judgement on a potential showdown of washed-up fighters. Have any pics of Trinidad been released yet? I really can't wait to see how he looks at this weight. But, I gotta hunch that he's gonna look like (maybe worse) than Fatboy Vargas did in his last fight. If that's the case, then I'd take Lacy by a wide (but extremely boring) UD.
Re: Tito Trinidad vs. Jeff Lacy
A lot depends on what Trinidad has left. If he has something left he beats Lacy. But I don\'t think he knocks him out

Hi Hulk, for me after of this fight with Jones jr. if Tito loose this fight where probably going happen, he maybe going retire again, everybody have to understand that this fight it just for some million dolars, if win ; he want exacly the revench with Hopkins but that is if he WIN , i dont think so, if this fight comes or pass through more than 7th round ,Jones win by KO or UD.So i dont see that fight with Jeff Lacy. I hearded that Puertorican said that if he lose this fight he going put it down all the GLORY that made in his career and for Puerto Rico, well lets see what going happen. ;) 8)
Re: Tito Trinidad vs. Jeff Lacy
Can't see this fight happening.Tito is only fighting for cash by the looks of things so if he loses to Jones he'll probably go back into retirment.
Re: Tito Trinidad vs. Jeff Lacy
If Tito can simply manage to get into good condition at the weight, I think he'd beat Lacy... Really no fight involving Lacy is going to do much for me these days though..
Re: Tito Trinidad vs. Jeff Lacy
Maybe we are being a bit harsh on Jeff seeing as he was coming back from 1 year off.
Re: Tito Trinidad vs. Jeff Lacy
Funny how things change.
Can you imagine this poll right before the Calzaghe fight? Would have been a joke, nothing more.
Now I have no idea what to expect from either guy.

True, but he was also coming off that injury, which has seemingly taken a lot out of him. It is likely something he will never really overcome.. It's unfortunate, but I really didn't see much left when he fought Manfredo... He looked truly awful considering his previous form, made me think anyone his size with any ability who actually wanted to fight could whip him. Manfredo could have easily taken that fight, hell it was close as it was and he didn't even want to be there after a half knockdown. If that was someone with a fighters heart like Tito has, they would have taken it to Jeff, badly.

Good points I guess but I thought Manfredo looked worse. Here was a golden oppertunity for him,to get a big name on his resume,a winnable fight and the guy stops using the effective gameplan, and spends more time looking at the clock than winning the fight, which he was doing so easily in the first few rounds.Jeff had the injury, ring rust and looked even bigger(if that was possible) thus looking so horrible. I can cut him some slack,Manfredo,no way!
Yeah, you're right about the Tito point. He would have taken it to Jeff bigtime!

Oh sure, but Manfredo's never been more than a decent fighter, in the scheme of things he's a nothing opponent at 168, nobody cares what he does from now on.. And the fact that he looked so horrible only makes Lacy's performance that much worse... THat was kind of my point... That an uninterested Peter Manfredo, who looked bad anyways, could take Lacy to a close decision without even standing up to him and fighting at any point.. That was just a god awful fight, don't know how I sat through that whole card, the Ponce de leon fight was even worse.

You actually sat through that?!I saw it the next morning and could forward it when I needed to(although for some reason I never actually forwarded the Mnafredo Lacy fight!!?I guess I was expecting something exciting to happen!)

Sad to say I did.. I was already drunk, if that's an acceptable excuse ??? I guess it was because I hadn't seen much of De Leon, the only two fights I did see were his 1'st round KO's of that Sod(?) Thai fighter, and Bautista.. Guess I expected something to happen at some point in that one as well.. But it completely turned me off De Leon for good. I love a good KO as much as anyone, but he is just such a crude slugger that he has no hope to do anything but land big looping punches. If he can't KO his opponent, your in for a long, boring night. Least that was the case in this fight, and I suspect it will be a continuing theme with him. I'm sure he has awesome power, because quite frankly if he didn't anyone with a pulse would box his head in. I seriously thought at times during the fight that if this guy didn't hit harder than I did, I'm not sure he could outbox ME :-\

I was in the same boat bro plus I watched the Edner Cherry fight. Both fights were awful you mentioned, DPDL was just going for that one punch KO all night and could not find it while Manfredo was just happy to be fighting at the MGM Grand ::**.
