after sparring..
After sparring small cuts or a little nose bleeding can be common but what about headaches? I mean i experience headaches after sparring and it lasts for few hours but its gone by the next day..is it gonna cause some damage in the long run if i keep gettin them? Like concussions or brain damage..because i m only 16. Tell me about ur sparring experiences too if possible and thanks a lot! :)

Re: after sparring..
Those are from concussions. There is a grading system for the severity of concussions from type 1 all the way up to perhaps type 4 but I forget. The effects become more severe depending on what kind of concussive blow you received. If I remember right type 2 or 3 symptoms include headaches.
I recommend that you look this information up. Concussions are always serious and the effects accumulate. If you're getting hit too much in sparring you must make alterations to your style. Its never OK to get hit. Not even once.

Re: after sparring..
Actually, i m not really getting hit..maybe just one clean blow to the head. Most of the hits are blocked but i still feel the impact and i wear headgear when i spar..i dunno wads going on, except that the guy i spar is much bigger and older than me weighs arnd 235 while i m about 195. Anyway i only felt this headache twice so i hope i'll be fine..

See a doctor.
If it's your hand that hurts....fine.
Your leg...fine
But don't underestimate any pain inside of your skull.

Re: after sparring..
I live in singapore, a small island, and its midnight here now so i m gonna sleep and if headache doesnt go away by tomorow i'll see a doc. I have also just read up on concussions and i don't have all the symtoms except a headache and minor concussions take about a day to completely heal..so i hope i'll be fine. And thanks again for the advice. :)
