Against Marco Antonio Rubio. I Don't know that guy he is fighting, but I am happy to see Zertuche get back into the mix. He is a tough SOB and gave Pavlik a good fight. He is pretty creative with his punching angles and I can see him giving many Middleweights fits.
I would like him to make a strong comeback and fight someone like Abraham.
He's a good fighter and like you say has a TON of heart, one tuff dude. I do not see him cracking the top 10 though. But maybe.
Zertuche is one tough tough dude. I heard he was hospitalised by Kelly,he took so many bombs!!Exciting fighter.
That right hand was brutal from Pavlik, Jose was on his way to going down and Pavlik threw two more uppercuts that snapped his head back. I would of been surprised if he wasn't hospitalized from that.Quote:

Rubios as tough and durable as Zertuche. Rubio fought often on SoloBoxeo in 2006 and made for good fights he always comes in to fight.
Rubios had some good wins over some decent opposition and he'll give Zertuche all he can handle.....
Also you might remember Rubio most for being brutally KO'd by Jantuah in the undercard of ODLH vs. Hopkins.
I love how right after the Pavlik fight it was Zertuche is a crappy fighter thats why Pavlik dominated him. Now that Pavlik has gone on to look impressive against some of the top middleweights he's not looking so crappy.He lasted longer than Miranda and Taylor :) He is what you would call a gatekeeper to a minor title nothing more. Great chin tho.
