If Tito actually wins this fight....
And I know that is a huge IF. But considering that he is a 3-1 underdog (realistically it should be more like 5-1), considering that most boxing experts and most of the people here are quite certain that this is a mismatch. Add to that all the disadvantages on speed, skill, weight, activity.
If Tito actually pulls this off, I think it is fair to say that it does mean something. And I don't wanna hear any crap on how Tito beat up an old, shot Jones. I don't wanna hear that he don't deserve a rematch with Hopkins or some other big fight.
I know I might be getting ahead of myself and it really all depends on how he looks and all that but after seeing some of the posts made here and on other boxing sights, it would be unfair to go back and say "oh well Jones was done already anyway" or some crap like that.
Re: If Tito actually wins this fight....
Weights are already up at fightnews. Jones 169.5 and Tito 170.
What I could not believe is that according to another sight Tito actually weighed 170.2 and Jones decided to let it go as long as Tito agreed to use Grant Gloves. I can't believe that Tito did not make weight... I have serious concerns now.

I don't know Tito doesn't look in a super shape.
sorry for the size I just copy pasted it from a guy in Miguel Cotto forum

Re: If Tito actually wins this fight....
He looks in pretty good shape for me, especially considering his age. Its funny when Bernard lifted his shirt at the Mayweather-Hatton conference when him and Calzaghe were having beef because he hasn't looked like he has had a real six pack in a long time, he looks in shape but he has no stomach definition.
However back to business, I think if Trinidad wins Jones better retire. I don't think Roy moreso is than he used to be than Trinidad even though Tito hasn't foughten in forever. Winky and Hopkins had his number as I believe JOnes will tomorrow, but Jones has had more difficulties with bad second rate fighters of late and so anything is possible.
