Watching fights delayed - when will TV companies learn
Ok so I just watched the Jones Trinidad on Setanta - proved to be the mismatch I thought it would be (though no KO). Could never understand why Tito was fighting at that weight ::**
Anyway thats another story - the real reason for my post is the grievance I have below
The programme was on for an hour, 1.30 - 2.30, and after a few seconds intro it goes straight to the fight with the guys face to face at centre of the ring getting last instructions from the referee. Straightaway I knew the fight would go the distance as in longer programmes they would have talked about it a bit first and shown the guys walking to the ring and the introductions. They basically gave it away.
This happens time and time again - ok I should have stayed up and watched it but I was too tired last night. At least when they show the full ring walks etc.. and kill time and kind of give it away that its a short fight you at least know you are in for a KO finish of some sort.
Really effs me off >:mad Anyone else think this ? Or am I just moaning like an old man ;)
Re: Watching fights delayed - when will TV companies learn
I think its disgusting, how can they be allowed to advertise it as live?
Re: Watching fights delayed - when will TV companies learn
You already knew there was a possibility you'd guess the outcome by the repeat coverage (i know what you mean).. then why take the chance instead of recording it live?
To lazy to set it up ;D
Re: Watching fights delayed - when will TV companies learn
yep too lazy ;)
sky used to show the build up whatever and the fighters walking to the ring as their next day show was still 3 hours long etc..
Guess I should have known better with it only scheduled for an hour
