"Boxing" one picture by Day... a permanent exhibition on the net !

Hello, we are Mendes & Mendes Pictures
This is our Project :

A permanent exhibition on the net, one picture a day : http://www.mendesonline.fr since the 1st of December 2007.
An exhibition for the Aubervilliers Boxing Gala, in spring 2008. 20 large formats� More places/events to be confirmed.

*Mendes & Mendes : the group

On the principal of exploration, a group of photographers (Caroline Peyramaure, Cyril Genty (unjouraparis.com), Thomas Piffaut (mendesonline.fr)) work in parallel, in the same direction. 2007/2008 theme: Boxing. One shooting session per week. One editing session per month for the selection and the publishing on the web. 8 months of preparation upstream.

The chosen format is based on a framework in a period of time, to discover, apprehend, to win over, a field unknown from the beginning. A picture per day, without added comments.
Duration of the project on line : 1 year minimum .
An itinerant exhibition, a project with regional committees of boxing and municipalities .

Boxing, the connecting thread :

BOXING is a story of travels, the course that we have taken this year.

BOXING is an exploration, a search, a long trip... it's a picture everyday for a whole year, our daily testimony, our pilot's remark...

BOXING is the story of a meeting with an astonishing sport, with uncommon characters.

BOXING is a team work, a cross look, a "cadavre exquis" . But individually, it's also the meeting of the photograph with himself, an oponentless combat, without predefined rule, without a last round...

BOXING is a fight... Day after day...

Boxing, the format :

Day after day, we deliver, one by one, our photos. Like on a long road, step by step. The picture is facing the reader, alone, a photo delivered unpolished, raw. We read it as we like, we dream it as we want, every look is different. This gallery is our anonymous testimony, our wide open book. Our logbook.

Day after day, the reader discover the work. He learns how to read those mysterious pictures, he becomes curious. The interpretation of the picture will be very personal. Everyone will write his itinerary, his discovery. All looks are possible...
