:tumbleweed:
Maybe IT Is all about only big name's staring at each other rather than actual grueling all action battles???
Re: What a great Heavyweight battle from 89',Don't blink.

It worked for me, you could tell from this fight neither fighter was going to have a long career
Re: What a great Heavyweight battle from 89',Don't blink.
That was a bloody amazing fight that was just like Foreman vs Lyle, no one could of predicted the winner round 2 was one of the most memorable rounds in Heavyweight history and so was the 3rd, thanks for sharing i have never seen that before CC.
Re: What a great Heavyweight battle from 89',Don't blink.
Ike had so much more potential, he trained in Yonkers and word of mouth was that he was a brutal body puncher and had heavy hands. I'm not sure if it was lack of dedication or what....
In this fight in the dressing room pre-fight interview Ike said he was there for an early nights work.... Little did he know he'd be the one getting the final count. :-\
Re: What a great Heavyweight battle from 89',Don't blink.
Glad to see you enjoyed it.CC's returned. This is a statement that the walk-outs and lesserknowns can produce just as many great battles as the Big names.Sometimes many more.
Mick,Did padilla really say that??Man,That was just dumb .Nothing like over looking a 50-50 fighter, reading your own headlines and then getting poleaxed...ouch.Hardy apparently was one of those Fighters that realized he might not go far and really became a big success in Wall-Street and a sports agent.Man,You have to love the undercards.

Reminds me of Lee vs. LoCicero another fight of the lesser knowns that turned out to be great.
Re: What a great Heavyweight battle from 89',Don't blink.
Eh it was a good fight, but theres thousands of those that have never been televised. ;D The lack of skill level does kind of keep this out of the great fight range, good yes.
