I noticed the resemblance too. :D
There looks to be a new era dawing in men's tennis & if you look like the greatest sporting icon of all-time, that's not such a bad thing either!!!
Re: Muhammed Ali in Australian Open final - double take
Jo-Wilfried Tsonga his name is and he's French who has stormed the Aussie Open only to lose at the final hurdle and there is a resemblance between him and Ali. ;D
Re: Muhammed Ali in Australian Open final - double take
I saw him in the street the other day and nearly fell over at the resemblance, the Ali connection has taken hold and when he won the first set it was like the rumble in the jungle all over again, all that was missing was the Ali chant at courtside. He lost the final but gained many fans for his efforts.
Re: Muhammed Ali in Australian Open final - double take
I love this guy and thought he would pull off the victory. He had a rough past couple of years; but has gotten over his injuries and really gotten into fantastic shape; which was really hurting him on-court. He's so big and athletic and can hit balls strongly from seemingly impossible positions, thanks to his great strength. I love tennis about as much as boxing; and look forward to seeing this guy come on stronger this year. He's got a bright future.
And his resemblance to Ali is uncanny. His dad I believe was at Kinsasa to witness Ali/Foreman back in the day as a sidenote.

he need to start using the "What's my name ?!" shout to the crowd when he needs motivating :)

This coming from a midget who is single, living alone in a hole and has slumber parties with Gandalf and 14 dwarves ::**
And I bet your parents didn't realize what a waste of time you'd be :lickish:

Sadly those parties were 60 years ago. Now I'm just alone, still a midget but happily of too an advanced an age to be capable of engaging in any participatory sexual activites.
I always preferred doing it by myself anyways 8)
