Now that the smoke has cleared. (Mayweather - Cotto)

I've been watching the Welterweight division along with the rest of you and what a brilliant division it is!

But unlike many of you I agreed with Floyd I have always thought he should wait until there is a clear challenger to his title as opposed to fighting Cotto; Williams; Margarito etc.

Now however:

Shane - Lost to Cotto (Out)
Margarito - Lost to paul(Out)
Cintron - Lost to Margarito (Out)
Oscar :-\ - LOST TO FLOYD (OUT)
Paul - Lost to Quintana (Out)
Quintana - Lost to Cotto (Out)
Hatton - Lost to Floyd (Out)

Finally there is one contender for Floyd, one, and now Floyd MUST fight him! fuck Fighting Oscar (although I understand no one says no to money!) Floyd must fight Cotto! I think Floyd will win the fight in a boring UD but Cotto will push him and has earned his shot. :cool:

:D i agree Piye, but is no doubt that cotto is the more stronghest boxer in that welterweight Floyd know the only who can bit him is Cotto....Cotto have all the skills for win him and maybe who knows if KO him , that is the fear of Floyd , that is what i guess.....;D

Mayweather doesn´t have the same advantages like he had in lower weightclasses. Like when he faced a faded Oscar he wasn´t comfortable and was lucky that De La Hoya pushed his punches more than ever. He must face a true welter again to call himself the champ. Cotto is the one he should face, so Miguel can become a true champ and erase Floyd from the welter division.

i pray mayweather vs cotto happens in 2009, i want the fight to happen big time

Amazing how this all got sorted out so quickly.

I don't mind Floyd taking ODLH one more time. It was a nice little chess match. I just hope we don't have to listen to PBF talking all that crazy shiet about "I'm going to kill Oscar and make him my biatch"

Until Floyd fights cotto, to me floyd is a big fake.

everyone has fought everyone already, except for floyd. He has only fought hatton who is a 140 pounder not a true welter.

Oh but I really do mind!!!!!. I know that Floyd is just milking Oscar before he retires. but instead of OScar it should be Cotto.

It's really is surprising that this thing has being sort so fast!!!

I agree. I wouldn't turn down Oscar money either, but as Floyd said he's already rich and no longer needs to fight for the money. If this is the case why not get down with the best welter out there - Cotto.

I'm still not paying to see Floyd Oscar II. If I want to watch a chess match I'll go to Borders in Plaza Las Americas or take a trip to NYC and hang out in Washington Square Park - Ding - just hit the chess clock - it's your move Floyd. We know Cotto wants this fight.
