Respect to Bernabe Concepción
With all the talk on the big upset last Saturday and guys in and around the Welterweight division making some huge noise we tend to forget the other guys who gave us some good fights.
I was very impressed with this guy. Never seen him before. He went into hostile territorry against a tough guy who was on his face all night long trying to make it ugly, a ref who was pretty much letting the guy do what he felt like, and he did what he had to do. He took care of business.
Not exactly a great fight, but it was IMHO a great performance by Concepción.
Re: Respect to Bernabe Concepción
Concepcion is a good prospect

I like the look of Conception so far, think he was supposed to fight Juan Manuel Lopez but Lopez pulled out. To me that shows he's prepared to face tough opposition!
Re: Respect to Bernabe Concepción
They call him Bernabe "beernabeer" Conception over in Pacland. :biglaugh:

Yeah good he is a good prospect. Current NABF Champ and WBC Youth champ. He's just a youngster guys...19 or 20 I think. The Ruiz guy actully came in 3 pounds over the limit, and Concepcion had to drain himself to make weight to keep his belt as it was supposed to be a title defense. I think that's why he seemed a winded thoughout the fight, saw his last fight he moved a lot faster there. Did you see him laughing at Ruiz in the first few rounds? No respect at all.:o
For your info guys, another prospect, Juanma Lopez was supposed to be the one up against this guy last week, but backed out when Lopez found out that he can gun for Ponce de leon's belt without going through Concepcion... Concepcion's already being ducked this early in his career! ;D

He's good, but let's not overhype him. He could end up like Bautista.
Like you said, he's a youngan. Marami pa syang kakaining bigas pre.
