Andy Lee... Lets talk turkey
Now, I like Lee but let's be serious... We spoke before about Steward saying that Lee was ready for the likes of Pavlik...
#1 I think thats laughable.
#2 Wouldn't Lee be more suited at the moment to fight a Duddiesk fighter.
I think that Duddy vs Lee would be a very entertaining fight.
He should be looking at more of this level to keep his oppostion level rising but to not overshoot and get friggin lit.
I wand Duddy Lee:D
Re: Andy Lee... Lets talk turkey
Duddy vs Lee will happen but not until Duddy has had his proposed shot at Pavlik (assuming Pavlik beats Taylor).
Lee has bucket loads of talent and is coming along nicely. He ain't ready for Pavlik right now but 2 years down the line if he keeps progressing then I'm sure he'd be ready. The trouble is will Pavlik still be at the weight as he has the natural frame, height to move up a few divisions.

Very true. Pavlik will beat Taylor... People do seem to forget how young he is and that he may not be totally formed into his weight class...
Re: Andy Lee... Lets talk turkey
He's looked good for the level of comp he's been in with. To me he's like berto, you can see the potential there....but only time will tell.

I think he looks better than Berto for sure. Alot more movement and footwork. Berto is a great prospect from the waist up, if that makes any sense.. He just looks to be way too stationary and flatfooted. Not only that his physique is topheavy.

Re: Andy Lee... Lets talk turkey
Andy is already one of the hardest hitters at Middleweight and coupled with his natural athlticism and his amateur pedigree we have one exciting prospect.

True... And Berto has those legs spread to far apart. It works for him at this level but when he goes up to A comp. wheres the footwork gonna be. Can't fight in a split;D

I think Andy Lee is ready for anyone...he has sparred with Jermain Taylor and Wladimir Klitschko and for those reasons I don't doubt his physical ability to perform on the highest level.
That being said you have to have the right mental state to be effective on the top level and we don't have anything to base that judgement on.

That's a very good point. I think that comes with experience... And we all develope differently. Good point, Lyle:D

And we all see guys who get their "Big Shot" a little too soon and it wrecks their career when they lose.
Meldrick Taylor
Gerry Cooney
Jeff Lacy
Are just a few good examples of this.
In my opinion Andy Lee needs some undercard fights on HBO or Showtime, he's scheduled for an ESPN fight sometime soon and that will be good for him. He needs to feel the pressure and not have it affect him and it will boost his mental toughness....getting cut or hurting a hand or getting knocked down and being able to get through it successfully is also a big boost for confidence
