Nikolay Valuev vs Serguei Lyakhovich - Feb. 16th

For those who care(a little)...
The winner will get a titleshot and face Ruslan Chagaev.
At the weigh-in Lyakhovich looked terrible and with 250,8 he is 12 lbs over his usual weight,but both boxers looked crap in their last fights...
My prediction is that Valuev will either score an early ko or it will be a decision win...I'm very disappointed in Lyakhovich to come in this shape to the fight and I don't think it is a tactic to have a few extra pounds...

I will probably do a RBR for those of you who care... ;)

This is very sad for Serguei, he was a tough fighter vs Brewster and he has some technical savvy although his punches were never that powerful.

I pick Valuev by late stoppage or overwhelmingly boring UD. Nicolay doesn't have power and he doesn't really bombard people with big powerful punches...he is easy to hit as well.

I know...and that what I was hoping for...that the fight vs Briggs was just an exception,but it seems that the fight vs Brewster was the exception...

....is this for a title shot???

Lyakhovich should feel fucking awful coming into such a big fight so out of shape!

great stuff mate on the rd by rd mate.... i forgot about this fight what channel and time does this start never have my german channels on that much and forgot to buy a TV guide :-X

Its on ARD 10 pm probably a little later...and don't miss next week the Juergen Braehmer and Thomas Ulrich fights on ZDF only to watch a few hours later the Klitschko/Ibragimov fight on RTL...;)

Agreed. Even the fighters look overwhelmingly bored. Hardly a good omen.

Wow it's not often I say thank God for Don King but can you imagine how painfully boring this picture would be if old crazy hair wasn't there waving his flags?

I don't think I've ever seen two less charismatic fighters before. They can't even be bothered to raise their hands! Lyakhovich is having a go but his body betrays how uninterested he is in this fight.

Those flags actually look wrong all waving in the picture like that. It feels as if they should be just limply flopping down past Don's hands.

Serguei looks fat, I'm picking Valuev.

I was reading somewhere that Valuev eats three kilos of meat daily(6.6lbs)I'm glad I dont have to feed him.

Lyakhovich looks tubby. Valuev on points.
