JR welterweight -Whose your best of all time
And why ?
AARON PRYOR
Why ?
Leonard moved up a weight to avoid pryor IN THE OLYMIPICS (BECAUSE AT THE TIME, LEONARD thort PRYOR WAS GONNA MAKE THE OLYMPIC TEAM, but aaron diddnt)and leonard never fought aaron as a pro .
His only defeat was after a two year lay off against bobby joe young he just comes at you AND he just throws lead incessantly.
He was a great competitor and the tougher the figher the greater he fought ,which is a sign of a true champion.
But a close second would be pernell whitaker at that weight.

Well it depends on what we're basing it on.... talent or accomplishment at the weight.
For example, someone like Whitaker probably could have beaten just about any 140 pounder in history, but he only fought one title fight at 140. Can we really consider a guy the best ever at 140 who only fought there once?
Re: JR welterweight -Whose your best of all time
Aaron Pryor - He was like a Tornado in the Ring, never let up but at times was reckless and was knocked down a few times. This spelt danger for his opponents! The Arguello fights are classics.
Kostya Tszyu - Often underestimated IMO, huge puncher with equally good boxing skills, i know his people wanted him to fight JCC after having just 4 pro fights back in 94'. 50% of all of his pro fights were against World Champions .
Sadly he never did get that mega-fight against a DLH or Mosley.
Julio Cesar Chavez- His record speaks for itself, especially the early 90's, not sure about the level of competition early on in his career. He went on to long though.

Re: JR welterweight -Whose your best of all time
Aaron Pryor always in shape and never in a bad fight. He would always get you and just ask Ray Leonard why he avoided him. He was quick and had power in both hands. On that rare occassion when a fight wa difficult, he made the right adjustments and his hand was held up by the referee.
