Kelly Pavlik vs Jermain Taylor My Scorecard

It was anybody's fight until the last 2 rounds when Pavlik dug deep, im sorry but i just can't see how anyone can see Taylor winning this fight, he was badly outworked in most of the rounds, and if you giving Taylor the close rounds you can have him probably ahead by 1 round after 10 rounds, anymore than that is slightly stretching it, but still Pavlik won the last 2 rounds and he for certain won atleast 4 out of the first 10 rounds, especially the 1st round and 7,8,9 when he outworked Taylor severly in these rounds IMO, Taylor had a good 10th round but after that it was all Kelly Pavlik, some people may call me biased or etc but i just can't see how anyone can have Taylor winning this fight, unless you like round stealing flurries, but Pavlik was fighting for entire 3 minutes. By the way i think Taylor slowed down in the last 2 rounds because in the 11th he was hit by a devastating shot to the body and he clinched after that, i think that shot to the body took a lot of him. Plus i think Pavlik sensed that and he went to the body more than he had done in the entire fight in the 12th round.

One more thing i would like to see is the scorecards of the people who had Taylor winning.

Thats pretty much how I saw it ICB. Coming into the championship rounds it was still anybody's fight. But that monster shot to the body sealed the deal. Taylor had nothing after that.

Kelly is a champion and he did what champions do, he closed the show and finished strong in the championship rounds. He won clearly in my eyes.

Pretty much same as me. The official judges scorecards are on fightnews and show Pavlik sweeping the last 4 or 5 rounds on all cards to win the fight.

I would agree with that except i think Taylor had one of his best rounds of the fight in the 10th IMO, but other than that i think Pavlik won most of the later rounds, the fact is Taylor just cannot keep up with Pavlik's pace.

Also agreed with you Rookie Fan.

I haven't watched the fight a second time, but on the night I felt that jermaine needed a round or two more to win it.

Yeah, the 10th was Taylors best round. In my book, that great body shot Pavlik hurt Taylor with in the 11th won him the fight. That took the last of Taylor's gas and helped keep away a late rally. After the 10th, I thought Taylor might pull it off, but Pavlik did great job to keep his head on straight and come back for the last two.

my scores are the exact same. taylor did good but not enough

If you compare Taylor in this fight compared to the last fight, he looked worlds better.. Fought a lot more intelligent and looked a lot sharper, which I think is what helped people see how well Taylor actually did against a fighter who convincingly knocked him on his ass last time 'round... So the contrasting Taylors made it seem he was dominating this time around... But I think even the improvement he showed over his last performance, at the score cards, their just wasn't enough to give it to him over Pavliks work by the close of fight.

Thank you, Taylor was Lucky to make it out of the 11th and 12th rounds. But Props to Taylor for being a warrior.

I can't see Taylor winning it, but 117-111 was retarded.
