IBF/WBO Heavyweight Unification: Wladimir Klitschko vs. Sultan Ibragimov
Ok guys, who wins and why?
This is a decent fight on paper. Klitschko is without a doubt the #1 in the division right no and at 31 under Steward he appears to have become a complete fighter. He has power in both hands, a superb jab, fantastic footwork and a good workrate. Over Ibragimov he has height and reach advantages and looks to be the pick in this one.
On the other hand, you can't underestimate a guy without a defeat on his record. When someobody is winning, they sometimes forget how to lose and Sultan when under the cosh may find a way to outwork Klitschko. Sultan also possesses good speed, is aggressive and has heart and determination. He also is not detered by the height advantge. He clearly outworked Briggs, although this is a step up over all previous opponents.
We also cannot ignore the Ray Austin factor. Austin floored Ibragimov and fought him to a draw where as Klitschko pretty much beat Austin in 2 rounds with just his left hand.
Steward has made it clear he thinks this will be Wladdys toughest test yet, and while it may well be, I really can't see him losing. Wlad will pump the jab all night every time Sultan attempts to get inside to work and eventually I think this will take its toll. Wlad to win by KO in 9.
Re: IBF/WBO Heavyweight Unification: Wladimir Klitschko vs. Sultan Ibragimov
Klitschko is the best of a very bad crop of heavyweights and i can see him winning this one simply due to his long ass jab. If Sultan can find a way past it and land some good shot he could pull off an upset as Wlads chin is questionable at best thats what make this fight exciting but i think Wlad ll take it by KO 9-10.
Re: IBF/WBO Heavyweight Unification: Wladimir Klitschko vs. Sultan Ibragimov
Klitschko struggles with punches being thrown at him, it sounds daft because this is boxing but if he were 6 foot he wouldnt have been half as successfull as he is now.
The opponents he has beat have been intimidated by his size, strength and power but not his boxing ability, the ones who werent took the fight to him and knocked him out.
If sultan puts up a good fight I can see him stopping Klitschko, sultan has fairly quick hands and likes a fight, he looked trim at the weighin compared to his previous frame.

Wladdy TKO.
For the people that want to see the fight and can make it across you know where to look. Theres also a possibility of an extra treat. ;)
Re: IBF/WBO Heavyweight Unification: Wladimir Klitschko vs. Sultan Ibragimov
Hard to see past Klitschko on this one, who seems to have matured beyond his frail chin in his youth, into a guy who really should have the measure of Ibragimov. We'll get to see how resilient Ibragimov is, cause I expect the ramrod jab of Klitschko to be pulping his face all night until he quits or the final bell rings.
Re: IBF/WBO Heavyweight Unification: Wladimir Klitschko vs. Sultan Ibragimov
I say Wlad by KO, Sultan is a power punching southpaw so I am a little nervous but I really haven't seen Sultan have 1 punch power the way Corrie Sanders had.
Wlad should really crush him in 3-5
