Knee seems ok
Dec 6th at 7 p.m. i dislocated my left knee, i also almost fell 110 feet to what i assume would have been my death. now this week i have finally begun to do long distance running on an eliptical machine...this is such an improvement from not being able to move my left leg for fear of agony that i am ecstatic. i can run for an hour non stop and this is only my second time on an eliptical except fr 10 min sessions at the therapists...so twice this week hit it for an hour and hope soon to be missing some of the 19 lbs of fat i picked up in almost 3 months of do nothing.

Re: Knee seems ok
Hey Hey Congrats! :)
I know the feeling and I know how happy you must be to be getting back into it!
Well Done! :)
I'm sure you are on the mend. I would suggest monitoring it carefully and not feeling bad about cutting down the time if you notice any feelings of discomfort.
Cutting the running time down for a week and making up the extra time on the elliptical machine won't set you back at all.
I found I had to do that a few times but if I reacted soon enough it didn't slow my recovery at all. If I ignored twinges it did.
I have found a decent walk warm up of 20 mins makes it easier for me to run.
I'm pretty much free of knee pain completely now too. :)
Don't take my comments as being negative though - I don't want to sound like I don't think you've recovered because I think you have.
I'm just saying I had to let my knee get used to being used again gradually even though it had recovered. I really didn't take long and it was easy once I reached your stage.
I'm sure the weight will melt off pretty quickly too. :)
I want to rep you to congratulate you but I have to spread it around!
