When your 'great' idea turns out to be an act of complete stupidity

Ok, so the past three weeks I've had man flu, which as we all know is terrible and much worse than anything women or birds get.

So because of this I've not been doing as much, and let's be fair I wasn't doing much to begin with.

I decided therefore in a moment of brilliant insight that I needed to cut down the amount of time I spend sitting in my leather 'executive' chair in front of my pc surfing this site.

To that end I decided to get some scissors and cut my internet cable in half thus meaning I now only have internet access via my laptop, which I find akward to use with its shitty trackpad and small screen. I will be on it much less I thought, and it will get me out of my chair :rolleyes:

Anyways the result is I've now become a slave to my laptop. Instead of sitting in my chair I lie on my bed.

Worst of all whereas before my hourly cups of tea would be on my desk next to my keyboard I now put them on the floor at the foot of my bed next to my feet.

In two days I have knocked over 4 cups of tea. The carpet by my bed is starting to look like it's been used as a place for a cat to toilet and my constantly disconnecting netgear router is ensuring I have to stay online twice as long as before to make my posts.

I think tomorrow I'll be heading to Comet to buy another internet cable :mad:

I also had man flu...terrible thing...I think its epidemic or pandemic already...
I used a small table beside my bed to prevent any food or drink connected accidents...And it worked like a charm ;)...Actually I still have it...

Wouldn't you get 'The Hobbit flu" instead of the Man flu? :confused:

what the hell is "man flu" ? Is it the same thing as just, simply, the "flu"?

Just unplug it next time and you can them simply plug it back in without the hassle of going out and buying a new one.
