Anyone see the Bute fight tonight?
I got nothing against the guy, he seems ok and all, but as soon as they put him in with a live fighter who can manipulate distance, he is toast. He carries his right arm below his waist and his left low also.
He does not have the reflexes that RJJ had and he will not get away with those bad habits.
Joppy as expected looked like a shot fighter.
Re: Anyone see the Bute fight tonight?
I just readed that Joppy was KO.....in round 10th..... poor Joppy since he was KO by Tito he never was the same and he is a good boxer, but is old now and i dont know if still having opportunity in his career.....that is what i guess.......:-\

Re: Anyone see the Bute fight tonight?
Why did it take him 10 rounds? I mean William Joppy? I was shocked how many people in the prediction contest were picking Bute by decision. William Joppy?
An embarrassing fight, Bute's promoters should be embarrassed but I'm sure there not, I'm sure it was a huge win against a former champion in their opinion.
I used to be high on this guy but I'm just not sure anymore.

I have to agree. I am not sure how Joppy even got a shot at the title. The IBF ratings committee should be hung from the rafters. Bute shows me glaring weaknesses when he fights if you look past his competition. Sure he is still rather new to the show, but IMO, when you hold a world title belt, Bika should not be considered your biggest victory.
Re: Anyone see the Bute fight tonight?
From the new names that are trying to get the spotlight I like Inkin the most. Not only is he well skilled but he's by far the smartest fighter of them all. After Inkin I think Bute is better then Froch. That makes Froch the 3rd rated from these 3 guys. I just think Frochs thinking he can take them out and will be sucked into trying to KO all of his opponents that step into the ring with him.
Inkins gonna box circles around Froch.

Mick,You got some good points there. I feel Inkin, from what little I have of him, is the best as well. Bute will have trouble with top caliber guys. He schooled Joppy like Calzaghe schooled Lacy but Joppy is aged and battle worn. I saw alot of the time Bute holding his hands VERY low and he is not the fastest guy around, although he did show decent quickness. I think he is just too open for punches with a better opponent.
BTW, do you visit boxingbb.com from time to time? Good to see you bro.
