i don't live in the US mate but i can hazzard a guess that the rumor you heard is untrue... because showtime is the king of internet boxing PR's mate and they really know how to get there messages out there and it would have been mentioned on every PR i get from them.... but it isnt ;)
i might be wrong but i doubt it ;)
Re: is SHOWTIME having a free weekend special for the fight?
they didnt say anything about it on shobox last night and im pretty sure they usually start the free previews in time to air shobox
Re: is SHOWTIME having a free weekend special for the fight?
The free preview weekend is next weekend. So those that don't get Showtime will be able to watch the Haye/Maccarinelli fight. ;D
And for anyone who is interested in this crap, they will also be able to watch EliteXC, Shamrock vs Berry, right after that fight.

berrys last fight was in cage rage
they interview him pre-fight backstage and no joke, he is out of breath like he just ran for 2 hours
so the fight starts, he wins the first round pretty easily, walks over to his corner and cant continue in the second round from fatigue :D

So basically, it's going to be a crap fight. ;D
I'm not into the MMA thing at all. I've tried to watch it, and it just doesn't do anything for me.
