The fighters who are never in the games
Everytime these new games come out there are always errors and omitions but there are a couple fighters who either by choice or just by someone overlooking them are NEVER in these games.
Here's my list of fighters that should be in more games:
Mike Tyson - last I heard he was broke....why don't you get in the game pal? You're still the most recognized American boxer (recent boxer...Ali is still recognized the easiest)
Gerald McClellan - sure he is not of the right mind to make decisions for himself but anyone who cared for him and had to pay for his medical upkeep or just to keep his family out of debt could have him in a game and make money from it.
Carlos Monzon
The Klitschko's
Wilfredo Benitez
Joe Louis
Larry Holmes
George Foreman
Donovan 'Razor' Rudduck
Riddick Bowe
Earnie Terrell
Earnie Shavers
Jimmy Young
Jimmy Ellis
Carmen Basilio
Gene Fullmer
Joey Maxim
Archie Moore
Joe Walcott
Ezzard Charles
Bob Foster
Dick Tiger
Joe Calzaghe
Nigel Benn
Chris Eubank
Prince Naseem
Henry Armstrong
Kid Gavilan
Pernell Whittaker
Kostya Tszyu
Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. & Jr.
Hector 'Macho' Camacho
Salvador Sanchez
Willie Pep
Beau Jack
How's that list? Please feel free to add anyone you can think of that you want to see in a game (past or present).

.
I noticed that too.
Re: The fighters who are never in the games
Calzaghe and Holmes will be in Prizefighter
Re: The fighters who are never in the games
Lyle, credit for mentioning the G man.
Nobody below featherweight, I hate that!!!
Re: The fighters who are never in the games
Its rare you see a Heavyweight who isn't American in the game. With the current crop of Eastern Europeans in the P4P Heavy top ten, I'm surprised not a one has been snapped up.
Re: The fighters who are never in the games
i agree mate.I thought same thing ever since i bought and played on the FIGHT NIGHT ROUND 1,2,and3 series.I've always wondered why most of the well known fighters have'nt appeared in the games.Your list was spot on.There would be one addition to add...."ROCKY MARCIANO!"i hope you agree mate.:)
Re: The fighters who are never in the games
It does amaze me that JC Chavez is never in the games. Mayweather too.
I'd like a game with Kristian Mijares, Montiel etc.
Israel Vasquez and Rafa are essential!!!
Re: The fighters who are never in the games
Pretty sure that Joe Louis and Larry Holmes were both in an early Knockout Kings.
There was a game out a few years back on a console that had Hagler and Hearn's in it - anyone remember the name? (Maybe Kings of the Ring).
Re: The fighters who are never in the games
On a related note, John Ruiz should never be in any game.

Well if he's not in the game then how can you beat the absolute crap out of him???
One of my favorite things to do for FNR3 was to make fighters I didn't like and then pit them against other created fighters like Prime George Foreman or Prime Mike Tyson.

Ha Ha yeah I get ya.
I like to take the career fighter I use, (usually a welter/lightweight) and beat up heavyweight James Toney....
Some good family fun right theere!
Re: The fighters who are never in the games
I never seen Thomas Hearns in any of the boxing games on Ps1, Ps2 Ps3. He may of been in one of the early boxing games like on Sega or etc, but i can't remember that far back.
