Gwan Lad!
Had to settle for shittish tickets seen as tho they pretty much sold out yesterday. Ah well, at least am going. Hopefully there will be a big screen anyway so view won't be a problem. I can't wait.
Who else is off?
Re: Hatton - Lazcano. Who's going?
not too fussed about this one to be honest - will be good to see him back but will settle for watching on TV. Would have gone if had been Witter
Just been halfway round the world to watch him 3 months back and now can't be arsed going 50 miles over the Pennines
To be honest I am not keen on stadium fights either - like theclosed in feeling of the arena. Really thought this one should have been at the MEN and then a later fight at a stadium with Witter - still if they can sell it then why not do it
Re: Hatton - Lazcano. Who's going?
i wouldnt blame you for not going.i dont think ill pay for it either.
Hattons ducking of Witter is shameful.
Hatton prides himself on being the man of the people.why not give the people the fight they want.Hattons supposed "last fight in england" that pretty much blows a fight with Junior out of the water forever!!!
Juan Lazcano??? beaten in his last two.last time by Vivian Harris, the same Harris that Witter nearly decapitated.
shame on Hatton

he needed to take an easy fight fist mate - he has just been in with the best in the world and got a beating for first time in his career. Needs a confidence boost back down at his natural weight. The bottom line is he deserves an easy one. As long as they both keep winning Witter v Hatton will happen ;)
Thats why I think it should have been more low key than a stadium fight of this magnitude
Re: Hatton - Lazcano. Who's going?
Any true boxing fan - fan of genuine 50/50 contests - would boycott this exhibition bullying match. Fact.
Having said that - hope you have a great night ;D
Re: Hatton - Lazcano. Who's going?
it will be one sided so i wont be going or paying to watch it
Re: Hatton - Lazcano. Who's going?
I bet it will be a great atmos but I wont be going . Its not a fight that can rival Calzaghe - Kessler cuz Lazacano isnt up to the job so it doesnt justify box office IMO .
Having said that , I'll be buying it but wont have high expectations .
Re: Hatton - Lazcano. Who's going?
I went to the Haye v Macca fight because on face of it it was 50/50 this one is not even 90/10 it will just be a very well paid sparring session for Ricky & it just shows how gullible the fringe fans are. As for me thanks Ricky but no thanks

i dont even think i'll be buying the PPV on this one ;)
Re: Hatton - Lazcano. Who's going?
Its funny how a lot of people on this site do not appear to be going. I won't be paying the PPV for this either. It will be the first Hatton fight I have not seen live since he beat Jason Rowlands.
Someone earlier in the thread said the fight should have been at the MEN. This is where I believe Frank Warren comes in. He has a contract with the MEN saying he is the only promoter that can hold boxing shows there. Therefore this is out as far as Hatton is concerned. Anyway the MEN will be better as a homecoming. He sold 45,000 tickets on the first day. Plus I believe Paulie and Ndou are on the bill as well. Sets up an MSG fight between Hatton and Paulie for around Oct/ Nov of this year. Now that would be worth going to.
