I just realized something....
I've been watching 2007 boxing videos on YouTube and also fights that I have and I just reallized/noticed something as I watching them something caught my attention. I quickly did some research and.....
In 2007 the following names emerged into the boxing scene (some the big times others just emerged period) from HBO. But in 1 way or another it was said that 2008 would be a big year for them.
Paul Williams
Juan Diaz
Michael Katsidis
Notice anything?
If my calculations are right this means Kats will loose vs. Casa :o
Re: I just realized something....
It's not really unusual or uncommon.
Most top level fighters make it unbeaten to the top then start to lose when they face world rated opp.
It's always been that way and always will be.
Besides both Williams and Diaz will bounce back and Kats hasn't really made it their level yet so should still be an underdog fighting the Ring lightweight champ, albiet a badly faded one.
Re: I just realized something....
Yeah Mick. I think Kats should win but he gets cut very easily and his defense is questionable so I dont think him losing some fights would even be an upset. Also let us remember that you can lose a fight and still have a big year.

I see but I guess it just jumped out at me that those 3 names made it big on HBO last year and 2 out of 3 have lost already this year.

He'll lose Saturday
Re: I just realized something....
I'd love for Katsidis to win but Casamayor is a immensely experience fighter who knows every trick in the book. I am quite surprised that the prediction comp is so one sided for this fight. I know Joel is not what he used to be but he'll still have enough left to give Katsidis trouble. A win for Katsidis would be great for the game... a big punching, undefeated, balls to the wall champion would create huge interest IMO!
Can anyone believe how good the last few weeks have been? 4 ring championship fights in 4 weeks thats amazing!!!

Your saving grace is that Pavlik could also be included on that list, and Taylor couldn't beat him.
