Honestly, Floyd would have fought both Shoti-Gatti and Judah for nothing in order to con the world about how great he is pretending to be.

According a recent report in the New York Daily News, WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. has filed a lawsuit against his former promoter, Bob Arum of Top Rank. The suit was filed in Clark County District Court on March 7 in Nevada, claiming that he is still owed money from his pay-per-view bouts against Arturo Gatti and Zab Judah, with additional claims which allege that Arum breached his contract terms and acted in bad faith.

In the lawsuit papers, Mayweather claims that his fight contract called for him to receive 85% of Top Rank's net revenues for Gatti and 80% of the net revenues for Judah. To date, Mayweather claims that Top Rank did not provide him the final accounting for either bout.

I whole heatedly agree on this one. I can hear Floyd now, "I don't fight any Top Rank fighters, I'm not dealing with Bob"

Atleast he has some skill. Gomez is a glorified club fighter, who'd be fighting on the same card as Charlie Zelenoff if it weren't for the contender.

Im a huge Kats fan, being a fellow aussie and all.
But Casamayor is a great Champion. Sure he should have lost his last fight and may be on the decline, but if Kats underestimates him it could be to his peril.
I do not think Kats will beat the living shit out of him, but should be able to outwork Joel to a UD or late TKO.

Casa fights dirty and has rugged skill. He's fighting style is ugly.

So is Hopkins style, dont stop him being an ATG.
Nate Campbell fought dirty and ugly v Diaz, won him the belt.
Sometimes u need to fight ugly to win, getting away with dirty tactics is a skill in itself.

i do think this fight will come off eventually....after floyd convincingly beats ODLH (which is what i think will happen, no gimme however) i rekon he will make a fight with cotto. At the end of the day Floyd has proven he will do anything for money....ODLH again, WWE, Dancing programmes etc etc...once he has made an even bigger name and cotto beats gomez it will be EVEN bigger news....hes making us all wait to make more money is my rekoning!

Floyd needs to beat the best. And he hasn't done that yet.

Floyd knows Cotto is a serious threat.

Floyd Mayweather has beaten plenty Threatening opponents.

Ricky Hatton was the best Light Welter in the world and makes regular appearances on the pound for pound list.

Diego Corrales was pound for pound number 7 when he fought Mayweather.

Jose Luis Castillo was also pound for pound when he was beaten by Floyd.

Oscar De la Hoya is still a highly talented and respected fighter when beaten by the smaller Mayweather.

Had you said Floyd hasn't beaten the best at Welterweight you may have been correct.

..a man totally obsessed with money wants more, where's the big story ?? Hey also there's this 12 year old kid out here that trains at 24 hour fitness that has valid claims that floyd is ducking him too....where can he join the line ??

Sure, you can say Floyd will make Cotto look silly when and if they ever fight. But damn, let them prove it in the ring, not hypothetically. 99% of the public wants to see the fight, but Mayweather doesn't seem to recognize this. I have lost respect for Floyd as a person, but not as a boxer.

Remember what he said in his last fight with Hatton " The boxing don't going retire me , I'm going retire of boxing " For me this is another excuse. ;D
