Micky Ward's recovery after the third Gatti fight - video
Was having a lazy day and watching Gatti Ward highlights in bed - then found this short video of the cameras following Micky to the hospital and doctors few days after the fight.
Worth a watch - glad he retired

Wow thanks for that. What a great vid. We always see our sports heroes in the thick of it and don't always see the personal and family side. This is a good way to see what these guys give up for our viewing pleasure. Nice job.

Thats one of the best boxing vids I have watched in a long time.

Cracking video. I think it is the bit at the end that shows some of the flaws in boxing.
Whether the promoters have seen this video or not it goes to show what us fans do not see when hard fought fights like that have finished. What is the point in having a $1m (b4 tax no doubt) and not being able to spend it because you are a suffering from serious injuries.
Good on Micky Ward. Thank you for the entertainment

Good video find Mark...People forget exactly how much these guys get taken out of them each bout....especially in bouts as brutal as Gartti/Ward...any of the 3.....not an easy game...this is why only the select few become great....

He's now training Bernard Dunne.
Dunne is fighting Saturday and I'll be there. When I'm ringside nobody escapes!

First time I saw Ward fight was against Shay Neary and that body attack of his was beautiful. Left hook to the body and uppercut to the head was a superb finish to the then unbeaten champ.
