Golden Boy Promotions and preeminent Filipino broadcasting corporation ABS-CBN today announced, as part of their ongoing relationship, that "Invasion: Philippines vs. The World" featuring WBO World Bantamweight Champion and San Carlos City, Philippines native Gerry Penalosa (52-6, 35 KO's) will defend his title against Ratanachai Sor Vorapin (72-9, 48 KO's) of Bangkok, Thailand, will air exclusively in the United States on ABS-CBN's global channel, The Filipino Channel (TFC) and live via the internet on TFC Now.

I think Penelosa is awesome. I only have about 5 of his fights but he is a BEAUTIFUL counter puncher,lovely skilled technician. Can't wait for this fight.

Has anyone here seen there first fight?? I just know the result on paper, TKO6 for Gerry... Was he hurt in the fight though? Was there some good ebb and flow?

I have it somewhere but it was one of the first Gerry fights I ever saw,my memory is hazy.I know that doesn't help at all.:p

I WAS watching the fight through my friends webcam in the Philippines. They're airing the fight LIVE and FREE over there. ;D
I lost him right now. I think the punkass bailed . :mad:
But I get to watch the delayed/rerun telecast in about 5 hours via The Filipino Channel (US-TV).

I just had the same issue....if you look on the article though it does say that it is PPV right at the bottom of the article. I know it's only $4.95, but I don't like shelling out money for a stream I know nothing about whatsoever, and how stable it is or the quality.

It's free in the Philippines but I was unable to watch it. Have my responsibilities to attend. I'll just buy a pirated copy of the fight.;D

Banal could be the Philippines' next hope in boxing. The guy is too humble and I like his style. He's an intelligent fighter. I'll try to have a compilation of his fights. He could be the next big thing in boxing after 3-5 years.:cool:
