Could this be true regarding Miranda and Kessler?
We all know what happened the first time around. Kessler backed out of their fight that was to be telecast on Showtime, as he was looking for a showdown for a belt against Mundine.
Well Mundine never took that fight as he had other engagements.
The WBA was aware of all this and of this month, made Miranda the #2 contender for Joe's soon to be vacant belt along with Kessler.
According to a person who goes by Pantera2000(he claims to have an inside track with Miranda's camp) on another board, preliminary negotiations were back on. Miranda's team had the fight lined up with HBO this time around and from all indicators, Kessler's team has backed out yet again from a fight with Miranda.
Has anyone heard anything more on this? I find all of this mind boggling.

Well you never know with these things but I wouldn't doubt it, it's true that Mundine does have other plans and I don't think he'll be able to blow off Soliman like that and I doubt Kessler goes back to Australia again. Could be true, wouldn't surprise me but you never know.

If it is true, Kessler's dream of fighting on this side of the Atlantic will be finished. Nobody will want any part of him.
Re: Could this be true regarding Miranda and Kessler?
I havent read anything on that...
But I'm sure if this is true we would have heard about it already from Miranda as hes not one to keep quiet about things.
The only thing I can say is if a boxer sometimes doesn't play by the rules set by the belt org. and or networks the chances of him being big and or headlining are slim.
Re: Could this be true regarding Miranda and Kessler?
Kessler has been protected he is good but not as good as he thinks he is, hence the hesitation in fighting real dangerous fighters.
Re: Could this be true regarding Miranda and Kessler?
There is a reason why Miranda has been quiet.
I have a good feeling we will see a press release first thing next week with some updates on the situation. ;)
Re: Could this be true regarding Miranda and Kessler?
Don't leave us hanging like this bro. You know I am big on Miranda.
Re: Could this be true regarding Miranda and Kessler?
kessler has had quite a few fights abroad, even as champ he left his home to fight in others backyards on more then one occation, i don't think its a matter of not wanting to fight miranda its a matter of not fighting him in a non title bout, they could make it a bigger event with a title............mirandas a tough time for most people....... i'm sure if theres a belt at stake they'd fight its just kesslers after a title shot

This is what is so crazy... The WBA was going to make this fight for the vacant belt. Plus Kessler gets the USA exposure he wants. So why is he not taking it?
