Did Cotto hurt his right hand against Gomez?
I haven't seen any news about it... and maybe it's just speculation. But did anyone else notice the odd way Cotto was pulling his right hand back after hitting Gomez with it last Saturday? It almost looked like hot-dogging. But Cotto is not given to that and it just looked a bit odd. Some of my buddies at work thought he may have hurt it or something. Anyone know anything?

One of the commentators said that but I never really noticed. Only seen fight once though, what round was this? I have the fight on my laptop here.

Hmm... not sure of the round, Kel. Only saw the fight once myself. I'm guessing it was toward the middle or toward the end of the fight. It didn't happen too many times, but it looked odd. It almost looked like Cotto was trying to do a bolo punch. But that's just too out of character.

To me it looked like Cotto was actually holding back a little. I thought he could of stopped Gomez earlier if he wanted to

That could be it, VD. If it had been an injury, no doubt we would've already heard about it. And the showboating... Cotto just doesn't go for that stuff. Maybe the strange way he was pulling his right hand back was his way of holding back just a bit(?)

No man, he did not hurt it at all. That's one of the things he does when he's in with an overmatched opponent to add a little style or something. He's done it before.

He has? When did you see him do that before, bro? Maybe early on, because a lot of his recent fights have been tough.
Re: Did Cotto hurt his right hand against Gomez?
Yea is true , i read it in the local journal that he injured a bit of his hand , he said that sometimes you hit in the wrong way and that happen , but explained that is nothing serious was at 2 or 3 days in recuperation.....;D
Re: Did Cotto hurt his right hand against Gomez?
I don't think he injured his hand but it could be that he felt something.
For those that play sports and all know what I mean. Sometimes you just get little knods here and there but it's nothing major just small things.
Also people forget Cottos surgery in his shoulders so no matter what some type of strange sensation will always be there.
