Arum have an audience for this Thursday with Athletic Commission of Nevada for talk the possibility to permit Cotto and Margarito to use the 8 once Gloves in place of 10 once in which determinate the mandatory rules for all boxers over 136 pnd......

This Thursday Arum will present some testimony from a few Doctors that had say that theres not enough evidence for keep the rule that require the use of 10 once of Gloves....." Theres no way to prove that a pair of Gloves of 10 onces are more secure "........commented the Cottos spokesman..........

Arum is waiting that this event be in the West Coast , due is more accessible for all Medias of Communication of California , against this the choice is more viable to take this to NY , Atlantic City and Los Angeles....

Cotto and Mosley wore 8oz gloves. I dont think it's that big of a deal.

doesn't really matter............they both are hard punchers but it's the one who can take them and continue on with the fight is going to win. I just know that with those 8 oz. gloves someone is gonna go down.

I think 8 oz is fine underneath middleweight. I mean Heavyweights used to use 8 oz gloves, and before that even smaller ones when Ali used to fight, and one can only imagine how big the gloves that Robinson, Louis, and all those guys used... they pretty much looked like 4oz gloves.

Very true. Cotto and Arum are trying to get into Marg's head to make him think that Cotto could actually knock him out...Ya that aint gonna happen.

Does Arum promote both of them? And it will be interesting to see how MArgarito deals with body shots, but also this could work in favor of Margarito ko'ing Cotto.

If the fight happens anywhere outside of Vegas they're going to use 8 oz gloves. I don't think it's some psychological advantage for Cotto. They're going to use 8 oz no matter what. Arum just wants to have the fight in Vegas instead of Atlantic City or New York.

No point in the 8 oz. gloves really, just follow the rules and then the loser has less excuses (i.e. yeah but it was with 8 oz. gloves)

...someone said something about Cotto not KO-ing Margarito??? It's GOING to happen, you can either hop on the bandwagon now or be run over when Cotto beats the crap out of Margarito
